This place is on a 2nd floor guest house, the stairs was very steep so if you carry a 30 kg size suitcase, you have to carry it all the way. But it is a way to stay like local, sleep in futon and living in a tatami room. The experience was great, the place was clean but can be cleaner. The owner was great, nice and friendly. They don't speak much English but instruction was all in English. Great location, very close to Kyoto station and Kyoto tower. Lots of place to eat in the same pathway which doesn't allow cars to go through. Overall the experience was good
