We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip in December. As there is no staff on site, the check-in instructions were sent in advance via email. The room was comfortable with good heating. The only issue we had was with the water pressure during the 2 days. It was abysmal. The property is a 15-minute drive from the Jökulsárlón glacier. The proximity helps when you are tired after doing a day's activity at the glacier. The room is quite spacious and has a couple of chairs and two tiny coffee tables. Overall it's a good place to stop while on the way to Hofn.

A lovely room in a location convenient to the glacier and beach. The views are beautiful, especially the waterfall on the back side of the property which was visible from our shower. The area is not very close to gas and food options, but the hotel across the street had a wonderful breakfast buffet.

Beautiful scenery from our bedroom window...including glaciers and the views of the icebergs floating in the lake. The room also had a view of several waterfalls. Beware of the summer no-see-ums.

I have ordered this property using Orbitz, the description does not show details about check in procedure. Orbitz did not send information about the unit and access. As a result we stuck at the door and had to read small letters about the option to get access. Frustrating situation. In general we get very ordinary room for the price of luxury hotel. Not to roomy, not cozy, not comfortable. The location is beautiful and the owner was nice to sent e-mail with detailed information how to find a property (not to get access to the unit). The location is beautiful. The shower is good. Parking is tricky, depends on how late you are. On spots may be occupied. I will avoid renting this property, rather book luxury hotel across the road (hosted by the same family).

Absolutely beautiful!

Good: Room was excellent: spacious, clean, comfortable, view from window, chair and small table to sit at, big TV. It's a very nice room in an expensive area, no more, no less Could improve: cars could park in front of window partially blocking view; somewhere to prepare a simple meal as very limited opportunities to eat elsewhere relatively cheaply. Update the door opening instructions.

Nice view! Provides complimentary carbonated water and good coffee. The shower and provided soaps/shampoos were great!

The location is good. However, it is like a B&B facility. No service desk. The customer support seems cold and un-helpful. Also, there is not enough table space in the bathroom or in the room for guests to perform necessary functiions

Very clean and comfortable beds! Their sister hotel across the street gave us a 10% discount and the meal was perfection! This hotel has no onsite reception but they send easy step by step instructions! The backyard is a mountain with waterfalls! Loved it!!

Det var det finest lille sted i perfekt og smuk beliggenhed. Dejlige senge , lidt service med mini køleskab med vand og lige plads til det nedbragte. El kedel og the og kaffe og creamer til fri afbenyttelse. Det var skønt. Fantastisk bad med shampoo og sæber.

Unas vistas increíbles, la decoración preciosa, la cama y almohadas super cómodas y las sabanas de excelente calidad. La chica de la limpieza nos recibió muy bien, hablaba español así que nos entendimos perfectamente, ademas nos dio algunas recomendaciones. Fue una estancia de ideal!
