Very helpful owner/manager with a lovely cute dog.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip in December. As there is no staff on site, the check-in instructions were sent in advance via email. The room was comfortable with good heating. The only issue we had was with the water pressure during the 2 days. It was abysmal. The property is a 15-minute drive from the Jökulsárlón glacier. The proximity helps when you are tired after doing a day's activity at the glacier. The room is quite spacious and has a couple of chairs and two tiny coffee tables. Overall it's a good place to stop while on the way to Hofn.

Nous avons été déçu de nos 2 nuits. Les photos de l’hôtel présentent uniquement les 2 chambres au premier étage pour 2 personnes. Si vous réservez une chambre pour 3 vous serez au rez de chaussée à côté des garages et avec potentiellement vue sur une voiture garée devant votre chambre. Les lits sont confortables et la salle de bain parfaite mais dans la chambre juste un mini frigo, une poubelle, 2 chaises et de quoi faire the et café. Un bureau ou une table seraient utiles. Il n’y a aucun restaurant aux alentours , vous devrez manger au restaurant de l’hôtel 5 étoiles qui se trouvent en face.

This hotel is located in a very remote area, and it is understandable that no hotel staff is available on site and we need to do self-check-in. The room was clean and well-maintained. One thing that could be improved is the breakfast (actually no breakfast). It would be very helpful if the guests at this hotel could use the restaurant of the affiliate hotel across the road (Route 1) as default, without request from the guests.

Good place to stay

Pricey but there are not many places hence expected. Apartment was clean and modern. Check-in was smooth. Location is very good.

Beautiful setting, clean well appointed room.

I booked this hotel because there was nothing available elsewhere and the pictures looked good. I paid $660 for one night which is a premium rate. The hotel has no staff - entry is completely automated. It was difficult to find the room as there was another building with the same room number. The room was very small with no privacy - bottom floor and only a curtain to cover the fully transparent door. Another guest mistakenly tried to enter the room and there many people from other rooms shuffling back and forth our doorway as we tried to sleep. There is no clear parking. There was no stand for our luggage and no closet. There is no restaurant.

The mountain views were stunning and in particular even from the window while taking a shower! This is a beautiful property, comfy beds with black out blinds on the windows! The coffee and tea provided were thoroughly enjoyed :)

Great place. Unbelievably beautiful surroundings. The only downer was a TV that we couldn’t get to work. But the view made up for that.

Gorgeous stay, wish we were there more than one night. Saw caribou and the northern lights while we were there! Had a pretty awful, very overpriced meal at what seemed to be the only nearby restaurant right across the street, so grab food before you get this far out or do a more diligent search than we did.

Arrivée autonome dans la chambre. C'est une grande maison avec plusieurs chambre. Nous etions en RDC. Chambre spacieuse avec petit frigo et bouilloire. Petit dej possible dans l'hôtel du groupe à 5min en voiture. Tres belle vue de la chambre. Un micro onde serait un plus pour les arrivées tardives!
