Parked car in long stay car park which is immediately behind the cafe / bar and soon found Chapter Two on the market square. Received warm welcome from the person in charge who quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was spacious and well decorated. After a while in the room though we did sense that the room was cold and damp which we raised with the staff who quickly brought us a couple of radiators and a fresh quilt cover. The extra heat did help but over our two night stay our clothes left in the room did feel damp to the touch. The en-suite was fine for our short stay. Overall the rooms are well priced and the accommodation is well situated and we really enjoyed our stay in Malton. I wouldn’t want to discourage others from choosing this place and hopefully the owners will take measures to resolve the damp in the room for future guests.

Room was available earlier than expected, so that was a bonus. Warm and friendly welcome, immediately shown to our room. Exactly as described, and perfect for our stay. Lovely and clean, very comfortable beds, nice powerful shower too.

Overall Emily is doing a great job at Chapter Two. A friendly and helpful greeting and a comfortable room and bed in a quiet annex. One problem in room 1 was the lack of electrical sockets. For business travellers there needs to be at least one by the desk for a laptop etc. There are no breakfast facilities here but to be fair she did point me to The Patisserie just down the road which was excellent. Enjoyed, will recommend

Chapter Two is right in the heart of Malton, close to shops & restaurants. The rooms are spacious, with quirky decor & immaculately clean. Chapter Two is a lively bar for a G&T or cocktail, the staff are very friendly. We cycled to Malton and were abke to store our bikes in the secure lobby throughout our stay. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Rooms for the price are very good, but the welcome and the friendly staff make this place very special, for a few days away couldn't recommend the place enough, would definitely go back again

Very clean and comfortable new management. Kitchen wasnt open when we visited due to it being refurbished. Good location in the town for getting around

Clean, Quiet, comfortable and ideally located for the town of Malton, staff very pleasant also, downside, there was no safe parking for my motorcycle.

Friendly staff. Bedroom clean had all the basics. Decor needs updating sqeeky bed black round edges of shower. Walls marked andedgesof wall paper liffed. Beds pillows duvet comfortable. Tea coffee kettle and biscuits. Easy access to room in the centre of Malton. No food on site. No where open for breakfast in the area on Sunday morning.

We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and modern. It was extremely quiet and we loved the central location. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we highly recommend this for a place to stay in Malton.

Great stay. Room had just been completely refurbed. Service very good from check in to check out. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were very friendly especially Bethany when we checked in, she took time so show us where to park and where the best places to eat were. Room was clean and comfortable, and had jockey paraphernalia in the entrance hall which I enjoyed being a horse racing fan! The bar itself does not do any food and we arrived about 9:30pm and really struggled to get anything to eat, in the end the Thai restaurant cooked a meal for us but we were the only ones in there so it felt a bit awkward.

The accomodation was fine. My only complaint was about parking.. Arriving inthe afternoon, I was told it was ok to park on the car park at the front. Fortuneately, I went to the car at 7.15am, and found my car blocked in with market stalls

Right from setting foot in the place, we were made to feel very welcome. We were shown to our room, even though we arrived three hours early and only wanted to see if we could drop off our bags. An ideal location for the Malton food festival. The only real issue we had was no parking, due to the festival. This issue was easily resolved by using a certain app to rent a local drive for the night. We were constantly asked if we needed anything and if things were ok with our stay. Very friendly ladies.
