The Sudima is a great choice for a few days in Christchurch. It's a 10 minute walk to downtown and also to the beautiful botanic gardens. Close to coffee shops and restaurants. Our room was large and very, very quiet with nice decor and lots of light. The bed was very comfortable and there was a small kitchenette with supplies for coffee/tea (including decaf instant coffee, which we didn't find at any other hotel/motel that we stayed in during our month-long trip). There was even a flat iron! There's a restaurant downstairs but we didn't try it. The only downsides are that parking is $30/night and while some of the staff were great, others weren't very friendly.

We enjoyed the charm of Christchurch while staying at the Sudima Christchurch Hotel.

This had everything we needed and the food! EXCELLENT

Quick notes: Staff was very attentive and friendly; and was always quick to retrieve our rental car. Complimentary laundry was much appreciated during our stay. Quick access to airport. Extremely clean and thoughtful property. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.

Modern and good quality stay. Friendly and helpful staff.

The size of the room was enjoyable. To have access to stove top, microwave and dishware made us fill at home.

Very quiet rooms. Room was also spacious and clean. Very much enjoyed our 2 night stay to begin our NZ trip. Restaurant in the hotel ‘The Lanes’ also did a lovely dinner.

Excellent friendly welcome at reception. Clean comfortable room. Really appreciated the free laundry on site inc free washing powder, a nice touch. Menu seemed overpriced for dinner, probably typical of high end hotels. Breakfast on day one was fine, day two a different story. No sour dough bread, Mexican beans were luke warm poached eggs took an age to arrive and when they did eventually arrive, they were cooked solid. Not sure what to say about a 5 star hotel that can’t get eggs right…..

Very nice hotel. The town, not so much. But I will say it was very cold the day we were there and that really kind of ruined things.

Great hotel in a great location

The Sudima was very convenient to where we needed to be. It had dining options nearby and was a short walk to the Riverside market. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was nice. The amenities including free laundry service were great. Overall a very nice hotel that I would highly recommend.
