Great stopover! Well equipped kitchen to cook your own food and convivial dining room to meet other guests. Surprise bonus - the owner comes in to cook waffles for breakfast.

The hosts were so kind. They woke up early to cook waffles for all the guest. Felt just like home!

Clean, comfortable and very kind and hospitable hosts

Reasonable place overall. The hosts were kind and communicated well. Even though there wasn’t an on-site office, we had an issue in our room and they showed up within 5 minutes of reaching out about it. Was a great location for seeing the northern lights, we actually drove down the road a mile or two and sat by a waterfall and watched it. The morning breakfast was great. Overall, the setup is very basic, but it was a good value. We would stay again.

We had an awesome stay! My pictures look like it’s in the middle of nowhere. Very kind hosts- even gave us tips on how to check the roads for our travel. We made new friends as we eat together. Yummy waffles and homemade jam. 👍

I have stayed in 20+ hotels in Iceland. This guesthouse is a shining beacon above every place I have stayed in Iceland, Scotland, England and Germany. I liked this guesthouse so much, that I changed my business plans so I could stay an extra night. I couldn’t bring myself to stay in another generic hotel further North in the city. Only a couple of miles off the main highway, it’s worth the journey. The peace of the location allowed me to sleep calmly for the first time in days. The owners are truly delightful human beings and they give the feeling of coming home to family after a hard days trekking across the countryside

It was a nice clean room. Do not pay extra for a kitchen. Their ad is misleading and makes you pay more if you want a kitchen, but it's a communal kitchen- everyone has access, not your own personal kitchen as they make it out to be, so save your money and book the basic room.

Northern lights were spectacular, very nice place with all the amenities, welcoming hosts

Nice guesthouse, very clean in a dark area great for seeing the northern lights. Owner was super nice made us pancakes in the morning. Has a full kitchen.You can cook your own meals plenty of cookware etc. Of our 10 nights in iceland at diff places, loa's was one of our favorites.

Well built accommodations in quiet area with great night sky viewing opportunity. The breakfast waffles were delicious and the homemade rhubarb jam was the best!!

Very welcoming.

The room was spotless with all the amenities you need. Shared kitchen with dining area, tea, coffee, cocoa, games and comfortable seating area for relaxing and visiting with the staff and other visitors. We especially appreciated the owners making waffles for us all in the morning, with conversation and suggestions to enhance our visit in the area. Too many stays have no contact with the owners and we have missed the personal contact in the country we are visiting. Loa's Nest was the exception to this. Thank you for one of the best stays on our visit to Iceland.

Thank you for a wonderful waffle breakfast. The space is new and fresh. We had a great sleep on the mattress.

Very nice guesthouse- extremely clean. The kitchen is small but very well equipped. Waffles and interaction with the staff in the morning is a nice touch. Hosts are very friendly and love to share information about Iceland. Definitely recommend and I would book again.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The host was welcoming and communicated with us throughout our travels. Breakfast waffles were served with homemade jam. It was a beautiful stay. Highly recommend.

Really lovely stay, Loa's is easy to find, clean and tidy with everything you need, including advice about the local area. The breakfast waffles and homemade jam are a yummy extra touch! Would definitely recommend :)
