Hi Upon our arrival at the Palawan airport in the evening from a re-sched flight due to the ashfall in Taal Lake, we managed to arrive at Villa Manuel Tourist Inn at Puerto Princesa.  When we saw our hotel accommodation, we were so discouraged with the hotel's quality of service and facilities.  There are no cover sheets on the beds, linens are very thin and pretty old. There are no tissues, soaps, free water bottle, toothpaste. They reasoned that they are out of stock, when in fact they have a store in the corner of their hotel. The hotel is located in the inner part of the street so it a bit far on the main road.  It is quite hard to check when you only see the drawing map and the pictures on the website. The pictures are quite deceiving, as it does not appear true in reality. The facilities need more improvement. On the third day, I tried to use the swimming pool. This one is okay, I like the set up of the swimming pool and the dept.  

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful but the room wasn’t very clean and the aircon did not ever get cool

I was very excited to see the pool as I saw their pictures online. It was very late in the evening when I arrive to the hotel so I postponed my plan on seeing the pool. My room was very spacious. They have basic amenities for a hotel. They gave me water in a pitcher but I did not drink it as I was afraid I'd get sick. I got diarrhoea in drinking water in El Nido so I was extra careful in drinking water in Puerto Princesa. I brought bottled water with me. When I woke up early in the morning and got to see the place I was a bit disappointed with the scenery as it differs when you see it in person. So I went back in my room and just watch tv. The room I booked said I have free breakfast. When I asked the caretaker for the breakfast, she said she still has to verify to her other colleague if I do have free breakfast. I considered checking out earlier to just eat in Robinsons Palawan. But she served me bacon, egg and coffee so I got a little pacified for my breakfast. It was a good service considering the price I paid.

I never thought I've got a big and beautiful room

It was a superb experience staying there. I just hope next time they can also cater foods aside from the breakfast meals so we don't need to go out to eat

The hotel was great. I did not expect for a strong WiFi connection. But the problem is, some electric outlets were being turned off during midnight.

Secured and quiet place. A place to relax

Nice place to stay. Would definitely recommend this one.
