Positives - the room itself was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. We booked a superior room with a balcony on the 3rd floor and were very happy with the space and facilities.
However, we found several negatives that impacted our stay. The staff generally came across as uninterested and not particularly friendly throughout our visit. Unfortunately, we also had two nights of disturbed sleep due to extremely loud music and shouting from events taking place at the hotel. The noise continued well into the early hours and, despite speaking to reception, nothing was really done to address it.
The hotel is in a convenient central location, but it feels very corporate and lacks character. The reception entrance is quite unusual and feels more like walking into a shopping centre or car park than a hotel lobby. Breakfast offered an acceptable variety, but the dining area—set inside a large function room—felt purely functional and again lacked any atmosphere.
Checkout was quick and efficient, but again, there were no pleasantries or friendliness from staff.
Overall, this hotel may be more suited to business travellers, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone visiting for leisure or a tourist trip.
