Heritage & instagramable, mudah juga buat cari cemilan atau makan besar.

The hotel and room is clean, staff at front desk is very helpful. The food at breakfast is not that great. I stayed here before and I liked a la carte type of breakfast which we could choose from couple of provided choices. This time it has changed into buffet type of breakfast which is not that great.

Location in George Town walking distance to Komtar & The Top, Chowrasta Market and some attractions. Hotel, a 3-storey lift and user-friendly to senior citizens. There is a children's playroom. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city, close to famous foodstall such as Toechew Cendhul. In the morning you can go to the Hutton Lane Toast which is on the side of the hotel. The room was cozy, bedsheets and towels are clean. They serve us high tea as complimentary for the guests at every afternoon, we got some onde once, black glutinous rice with light coconut milk, ice cream and some cookies. It is a very nice place to stay. Definitely will come to stay here again next time.

Stayed here several times over the years pre-covid. Close to centre of Georgetown with many things within easy walking distance. A unique hotel with a penang influence. Free afternoon a great touch. All staff are friendly and helpful. Will be back for sure.

Very well maintained hotel and friendly staff with good service mind. The location is really convenient for getting around to check out cafes and restaurants. The room is really clean, but the wall is a bit thin so you can always hear other guests talking if they walk past your room. But despite the sound from other guests (which is not something the hotel can always control), we had a really pleasant stay at Areca Hotel. Would definitely recommend to others or come back again:).

Great hotel. Friendly staff, clean and nice room. However, if you come by car, the parking will be hassle as the hotel did not provide parking space for their customer.

The location is perfect for those who are looking to explore the old town of Penang. It was the perfect location; near the old town, near some food stalls, near the free bus stops (red, blue, green line). If I had to choose I would choose the garden view at the ground floor, not the heritage room on top floor. though the elevator was a nice touch.

I had an amazing stay in Areca. Service is wonderful, location is perfect, and it also offers great food in the restaurant. Would love to stay here again during my next Penang trip.

This hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to stay nearby any tourist attraction in Georgetown. Hotel price is great deal and plus, there is famous chendol seller nearby this hotel ;)

Location is great. Near from joo hoi cafe, famous Teochew Chendul, Komtar, famous ming xiang tai pastry shop, bee hwa, mydin to do a supermarket haul. Room space is bigger than I’ve thought, but shower is a little bit small. Air conditioner is cool.

Interior-exterior design was great. Variety menu and the food was amazing. Most friendly and helpful staff. They provided Argan bath gel, which I really enjoyed its aroma, so relaxing. I was very pleased with my stay and hope to be back for a longer stay in future.

Hotel yang super duper nyaman dan keren. kamar yang luas dan bersih, Lokasi hotel memudahkan untuk keliling penang dan dekat dengan halte serta mudah dari airport, staf yang berpengalaman dan baik hati. Dan yang paling utama makanan dan sarapan yang enak.
