Great place, but some things let it down for top marks. Shower is tricky to use, hair dryer mount was loose on the wall, towels were soft and thick but other amenities were average. Breakfast is great though.

Das Haus ist wunderschön, eine ehemalige Schmiede. Der Frühstücksraum ist auch Restaurant am Abend und wirklich beeindruckend. Das Zimmer war groß und passend zum alten Gemäuer eingerichtet. Leider keine Klimaanlage dafür ein Ventilator. Unser Hund konnte mit zum Frühstück und auch abends ins Restaurant. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Jaw dropping building with a hard working staff, international peregrinos, lively local scene, and great food and wine. Who could ask for more?

The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. However, attention to detail would have improved our rating. There were cobwebs in the ceiling rafters. The sealant around the bath shower was a little shabby. The food and service was good. The staff were friendly, with the exception of the lady with long hair and glasses, who told us to keep the noise down at the dinner table. Admittedly our laughter had become too loud and she was right to tell us, but she could have done it with a smiley face instead of a miserable one. She was miserable when she served breakfast too. All other staff were pleasant. Maybe she was just a miserable person. 😂 I don't think there were any ghosts, but who knows!

I was with my dog and a friend and it was a very nice place, nice staff and great food to eat. I totally recommend it.

Great location and hotel friendly and loads of character

Lovely stay whilst waling the camino. The surroundings are spectacular. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Superior double with balcony was lovely. Amazing shower. Friendly staff. Only negatives: Check in and check out took too long. Toilet flushed continuously overnight.

Stayed here during our trip walking the Camino del Norte. Conveniently located just under 2km out of town. Food was great & the staff were very friendly & most helpful. Would definitely recommend

Enttäuschende Unterkunft.Überall Staub und Spinngewebe.Bäder und Toiletten aus den Fünfziger Jahren.Eingang und Rezeption nicht gereinigt.Keine Sitzgelegenheit im Zimmer. Für den Preis völlig unzumutbar.Wollte eigentlich sofort wieder ausziehen.

En un entorno precioso en medio de las montañas, se respira la calma y la quietud. Un edificio espectacular. Todo el mundo encantador. Sin duda repetiremos.

This is lovely hotel in a beautiful part of the Basque country. The owner and staff are so friendly and told us the history of the building as a blacksmith of historical importance in the region. The building itself is beautiful with a central restaurant and corridors and rooms at mezzanine levels around it. The room had a balcony to stare at the beautiful mountainous scenery and the bed was huge. All in all a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend. The only thing I would add is that it is in the middle of absolutely beautiful country and whichever side you approach it from you'll be going up a winding mountain road so factor that into your journey.
