First off, the address is wrong. It directs you to JOMO hotel in another town that is not Fenghuang. We got in late at night and had to spend an hour sorting this out with our Taxi driver’s help. The hotel is right next to a nightclub so the music is blasting in your room. Don’t expect to get any sleep because it’s so loud that it almost feels like you are sleeping in a nightclub. This is not a 3.5 star hotel. I’m not sure how it got this rating. This definitely feels like a 1 star motel. When you arrive, you check in at the most unprofessional desk ever. He had an ash tray filled with cigarettes right next to him and was watching movies on his phone. The hotel lobby door is always open and there’s random people loitering on the steps. It just seems really shady. The room itself smells awful and the carpet is really dirty. The bathroom is not a western one. There’s a hole in the ground and it smells really bad. There’s no separate shower or bathtub. Thank god that we walked down the street and found a better hotel. It was 10 times more luxurious and a better price. This was such a rip off for this JOMO hotel. I’m not sure how they can be charging $57 USD per night. So insane.

Not a place for westerner's, bathroom was not up to western standard, bathroom window would/could not be closed which made the bathroom extremely cold in January. Bedroom was cold with inadequate heating, small bedroom and no place to place luggage. Hotel was cold as front door was always open while the outside temperature was in the 40"s F....
