Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. Shampoo and soaps provided were high end and good quality. Bed was large and comfortable and staff were happy to bring an extra duvet. Breakfast was tasty, cafetière coffee was excellent and the chef cooking and serving breakfast was polite and friendly. Overall a lovely stay, with a large comfy bed and great food

Breakfast was lovely , but waited 50 minutes for it , I think they had a big Sunday lunch party turning up , other than very pleasant short stay .

Just love to stay in pubs like this full of old world charm. The Gainsborough room was excellent. Would just say though that drinks a bit on the expensive side for a pub

Easy check in, lovely spacious room within a separate block from the pub, with a sofa. Bathroom clean and shower was a good size. Breakfast was served efficiently and was delicious. It was quite expensive but was a convenient location as I was attending a wedding in the area and every aspect worked perfectly

What a truly beautiful place, the view of the fields was special and the ladies that run the pub were beyond helpful and accommodating.

We was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, easy and no faff, our room was clean with everything you could need, with a beautiful peaceful view. Breakfast was one of the nicest we have ever had in a hotel usually paying £25 plus and this one was included in the rate. Service was great and we felt looked after and welcomed. This is a lovely county pub with accommodation in a sleepy village with beautiful views. Lovely stay, slept like a dream woke up to a stunning view a warm welcome and delicious breakfast (with a proper sausage can I just add) what more could you want. :)

Absolutely amazing stay. Food was delicious. Service was wonderful. Staff were friendly. Room was spotless and spacious. View was beautiful. If I could find a fault with it, I would say it’s a shame we couldn’t have stayed for longer.

Well looked after in a old style pub with modern, roomy accommodation.

We had a lovely one night stay in the constable room with dinner. The room was clean, comfortable with a large shower and countryside views. The food was delicious and all the staff very friendly. Would recommend 👍

A lovely getaway from the hustle and bustle of big cities, a fabulous family-run hotel and pub with feel-at-home vibes, super friendly staff and patrons.

Lovely country pub with beautiful rooms. Mine looked out to endless countryside so was so relaxing. Cosy and warm room. I ate in the pub and had a very tasty Thai curry. Great breakfast. Sue was super friendly and customer service was brilliant.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We had a fabulous weekend away everyone was so friendly and nice x
