The service at Maryculter was excellent, the meals were of a very high standard, and the gardens and interior were beautifully maintained, bedrooms seem to be updated recentrly. The hotel’s historic character made our end-of-trip visit to Scotland even more special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Clean room, very helpful staff, lovely selection for breakfast and good selection in the bar. Only downfall is it's not very wheelchair accessible which comes with the age of the building which is understandable

I stayed here the night before my wedding at Drum Castle and was able to utilize the late checkout so I could get ready there with my hair and makeup artists. My bridesmaids, mother, and I had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delivered to my room and was delicious, and the property was clean and very relaxing. Lots of cute bunnies outside! We enjoyed our experience here very much and would stay again!

Well appointed room. Clean and spacious. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Bar had ran out of my preferred drink - not a big deal, but it is a well known and popular stout. Breakfast was very good, and the service was excellent. Would definitely go back.

What a beautiful place. I paid a bit extra to have river view, well worth it. Easy to get to, so very comfortable and I had an excellent dinner in their lovely restaurant.

Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une très belle vue sur la rivière. Le personnel est très agréable et au service des clients. Malgré le dépassement d’horaire du bar, nous avons pu apprécier un verre dans le magnifique séjour au décor charmant. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel pour tout envie d’évasion dans la campagne écossaise. Point spécial pour le cadre environnant l’hôtel.

Excellent country manor hotel in a remote location outside Aberdeen. Very well maintained and well staffed. We had a comfortable room with a view of the river. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. Can't fault our stay.

Staff very helpful. Reported towel rail not working and water overflowing to bathroom floor when showering. Biggest disappointment was breakfast, no bowls or plates at the buffet. Empty orange juice containers, no croissants either morning and only 2 pastries! Asked for yogurts as there were none, the two I picked were out of date by 3 days, not good enough. I could go on, however, girl was very apologetic and worked hard for us and other guests. Not what we expect from a 4 star establishment. Hotel is lovely, had a room overlooking the river.
