A unique and interesting property with wonderful staff

Comfortable stay, extremely friendly ad helpful staff. Dinner and breakfast both good.

My kids loved it. Seeing the main road from the balcony. The staff are all so friendly and always willing to go out of their way to make us comfortable

The people are all very hospitable & very kind, service is great. I highly recommend Royal Hotel to everyone passing through Lady Smith.. Thank you so Royal Hotel Family

Perfect for business travel

Te duur voor omgeving. Niet echt hulpvaardig met koffers, fantastische koffietent ernaast met verrukkelijke cakes en lunches

My stay at the Royal hotel was so amazing, the rooms and the bed linen was so perfect. The breakfast was delicious, but I have a suggestion to make about the fridge in the room, they must put fridges in the rooms and include the payment in the room's fees. Regards Janet

Good location and secure car parking with plentiful meals

I was on an overnight stay en route to Durban. Very refreshing. Friendly staff. Clean hotel..

The hotel is in a good location, not far from shops etc. I would certainly stay there again

It was good one but the breakfast was not so good

The owners were very nice. It is a lovely period hotel with amazing features. The pictures and write ups on the walls were fantastic. It is a lovely place to stay. Food was nothing short of excellent.

Excellent service,room clean and comfortable overall good value

Stayed one night from 22-23 May 2018. Arrived at 18h51 and was told they only offer 15 hours a day room service, which was not specified on the limited hours when I booked. Indicated "premium bedding" on description of the room, however the bedding fabric is very old and not modern or soft or premium at all. Description indicated "Satellite TV Channels" in the room, however only 12 channels to view and no satellite channels as described, only channels were SABC 1/SABC 2 / SABC 3 / E-tv / and the rest were news channels - no movie channels whatsoever and no "satellite" channels as indicated with the description. Would not recommend as features are falsely described.
