The rooms were basic but then again, they were cheap. They are great for going to the races.

Fantastic location, 15 mins walk to the city walls . Excellent pub , the Fox and roman at the entrance . Could not be faulted.

My stay Was fine apart from getting back to my room on Friday night after a long shift all I wanted was a shower but there was no towel in my room so I then had to go out and buy one at almost midnight because there was no staff around to ask for a towel

Not a brilliant hotel & actually listed as a hostel inside the building. Only a toilet & a sink in the bedroom, communal showers, which we weren’t aware of. Only 1 mile from town but £10 in a taxi. Not a great experience & won’t be back

Stayed at the hotel while at the York races. 10 of us in total. Rooms were just what we needed. Comfortable beds and clean toilet. Good location next to racecourse. York itself was very noisy at night so good to be slightly out of range of the bars and clubs but still walking distance. Staff very friendly.

Great value for money basic accommodation just outside the city centre, perfect for catching up with a group of friends over the weekend. The beds were comfortable and room/shared bathroom clean and tidy. Friendly staff and only a 10-15 minute bus or taxi ride to the city attractions.

Was just what I needed after the cold day and the driving. Quiet, bed, sink, tv. Local pub for food, Tesco 24hours for supplies and very welcoming staff. No wifi was my only issue but... got to sleep quicker... every cloud eh?

If your looking for somewhere basic to stay around York this is the place. The rooms are basic, one two or three beds. They are spotlessly clean as are the shared amenities. What set this way above some of the more expensive hotels in the area was the breakfast. Would definitely use this place again

Stayed in one of the single rooms in the Annex. Small but clean, the bed seemed to be jockey sized.

3 of us stayed over for a function at the racecourse. We stayed in a 4 bedded room and were pleasantly surprised to find an en suite toilet and sink. The room was spacious, bright and very clean and there was plenty of wardrobe space. The breakfast was lovely too. The location was perfect and not far if you wanted to wander into the city. On the whole such excellent value for money and it equalled the quality of some hotels. I will definitely stay again, thank you!

Only hotel that was reasonaly priced for this weekend , as we were not going to be spending any time but sleeping there this was perfect , great location , very clean and breakfast was lovely , the staff were. Very helpful and friendly , would stay again .

We booked last minute and we're happy with the choice taken. Only downside was noisy next door neighbours but that's taking nothing away from an excellent stay

Needed somewhere to stay near York Racecourse with my two sons for my 60th birthday present, the Whiskey Festival!!! Very friendly staff, very clean and ideal for York visiting as well. Yes it's basic with shared showers but own toilet but at the price a REAL BARGAIN, thank you Stableside.
