It is not too far from city Vik but you still need to drive there. People are nice and breakfast is enough. Not too crowd. The room size is reasonable large

I like this hotel and staffs! They arrange a best room for me. When I got a trouble on the last day(my car are broken) they drive me to airport even need to pay but they can reject me! So I really thank you all staffs! Special thanks the handsome staff who carried us! You helped us a big a lot! ;) hope to see you again!

我們住的當天晚上室外溫度大約攝氏9-10度，晚上10點要洗澡沒有熱水，房間沒電話可與櫃檯聯絡，走到櫃檯詢問，他們說大約半小時會有熱水，結果等到半夜12點熱水還是沒來。房內及旅館沒提供電熱水瓶可以煮熱水喝。床太軟，腰部沒有支撐，不好睡，睡完腰酸背痛。不推薦。

Hotel is very old. Carpet needs to be replaced. We were traveling in July but rooms were super warm and the only way to cool down was open the window but mosquitoes became an issue. Bathroom was updated and water pressure was good.

The hotel is not in good condition to charge such a higher fee!

Great location for our Iceland road trip.

Free parking outside. NB it is a large hotel with several sections so check in to find where you are staying before unloading. Reception staff were friendly and our room was in main building with restaurant. Surprisingly quiet and modern room. Comfortable with just the frequent issue in Iceland....the black out curtains lack sufficient material to fully cover the window, otherwise fine. There are lots of tour groups in the hotel. We had booked a meal for 8pm which worked ok. Not greatly impressed with the quality of the offering in the buffet but it filled a hole. We were warned that the tour groups eat breakfast 7-8 so it gets crowded but we were ok at 8am and reasonable choice available. Staff working hard to keep on top of things.

Expensive hotel given the facilities. Very clean and nice staff but older hotel and basic decor and services. Online it made it seem like you were right near/on the black sand beach but you are a 10 min drive away.

Hótel has great views as it is up on a hill facing the Black Sand Beach, perfect stop for those heading East. Hótel has some age, not much amenities but works for us just for one night. Cheaper rate than the hotels at Vik.

The views from this guesthouse were beautiful. It’s perched on top of a hill and you’re able to look out onto the water and black sand beach. Loved how rustic the reception and bar was. The lounge area was so cool, filled with vintage furniture and needlepoints. Highly recommend staying here and talking to people from all around the world in the lounge or breakfast area.

Das Hotel vermittelt definitiv den Hauch eines Klassenlagers. Restaurant gross und lieblos. Zimmer gross und sauber. Aber alles in allem einfach kein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis! Das laute Dauergeschwaffel des Personals beim Geschirrabräumen und Tischeputzen beim Frühstück ging offensichtlich nicht nur mir auf die Nerven. Dagegen sind die zahlreichen grossen Reisegruppen schon fast das kleinere Übel.

Pros: location is in a nice area of the country; friendly staff; great breakfast buffet options. Cons: wish they had actual blackout blinds. It was quite bright in the room at 4 am. Overall, pretty representative of a 3-star hotel.

This property was a great location, clean and simple. Very functional for our needs.

Perfectly located hotel nestled atop a hill. Stunning views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. Our room was rather large and the beds were comfortable. During our stay we were able to watch the Northern lights from the hotel parking lot. Overall wonderful experience!
