Spacious clean accommodation

Fantastic location! Easy check in process.

We loved the location as it really was just a climb of 3 flights of stairs across the street from the centre of the old town. So fairly easy and quick access to all the market, churches, cathedral, historical buildings and restaurants! Our hostel was neat and well maintained, but we certainly wished they had a receptionist on site instead of having to call or walk over to the sister hotel to ask for assistance or directions. The other thing that was somewhat upsetting, but had less to do with the quality of service, was we unfortunately had unruly guests in the apartment next to us, and since the walls were not soundproof, it did put a damper on our visit, and certainly didn’t allow us to have a good night’s rest.

Gorgeous property right in the heart of Santiago de Compostela. (Around a 5 - 10 minute walk to the Cathedral.) Comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms with amazing showers! I had an issue with the flush on the toilet not working and it was fixed within minutes. (Although unfortunately the issue did occur again during my stay.)

We stayed just one night. The Pension was perfect and so well situated opposite the market and near the cathedral, plus one minute from the bus stop to the airport. The garden looked great too, but we arrived fairly late in the day so didn't use it. The one small thing was that the directions to the Pension from the hotel were not very clear. We had to use Google to find it.

O Xardin de Julia is affiliated with the more upscale Hotel Altamira where you check in and can have a fantastic buffet breakfast for 12 Euros each. The staff were helpful, the room small but nicely appointed. The galleria in our room allowed light to flow in and granted a beautiful view of the garden and city. The downside in summer when the windows are open is the nonstop party music of a nearby venue.

Receptionist really friendly and helpful. Check in very easy at a nearby Hotel but great location. Room were clean and comfortable but a little in small size. Overall would recommend

The property does not have a front desk in the building. You must go to another hotel to check-in. The lobby was completely dark, with no lights turned on, including the front hallway. At night it was very unsettling to return to a pitch-black, deserted building. Guests could enter with a card and they would sometimes wait and enter when someone else was leaving. There was no one to check access and it did not feel safe. I would not recommend this property.

Property felt semi-abandoned. Check in had to be performed at a different hotel. The room was absolutely fine but the service (such as it was) not that great.

Just stayed in O Xardin de Julia for one night as we passed through Santiago but ended up wishing we could have stayed longer! The room was fantastic, with its stone wall and wooden ceiling and floor, and views of the market across the road. The staff were very helpful as well, both before we arrived and then with looking after our luggage after we checked out. The next time we visit Santiago, this will be our first port of call for accommodation!

Lovely place with a great service and well located

Excellent location immediately opposite Mercado de Abastos. Only 5-10 minute walk to the Cathedral. "Honest Bar" is helpful for some snacks in the lobby. Rooms are very comfortable especially with excellent shower!

Imposible dormir, zona de ocio nocturno. 1er piso de calle con tránsito rodado y lleno de pubs.

El servicio es amable y la ubicación muy buena. La limpieza no es muy buena

En general muy bien, la atención perfecta y las instalaciones también. Como pegas: 1. No hay recepción a partir de cierta hora, con lo que hay que caminar hasta otro hotel a recoger las llaves unos 5 minutos. Por suerte, nos abrieron la puerta al llamar y no tuvimos que cargar las cosas. 2. Nuestra habitación daba hacia el mercado. Hacia bastante calor por la noche, pero al abrir la ventana habia bastante ruido de un pub que hay debajo, hasta las 3-4 de la mañana. Con lo cual las opciones eran pasar calor, o abrir la ventana y no poder dormir por el ruido.

Cumple. Se encuentra muy bien ubicado y esta limpio. El check in es incómodo, podría facilitarse muchisimo pero por lo visto no interesa hacerlo. La cafetera del Hall no funciona.

Excelente lugar . Céntrico . Un poco incómodo la recogida de llaves en otro hotel . Hay q ir con 2 conductores y q el otro espere en carga y descarga o parada de bus

Todo super bien, estamos muy satisfechos
