Fantastisk sødt og hjælpsom personale. Alt var godt. Dog havde vi betalt for udsigt til poolområde …, men fik i stedet en “losseplads” det er ikke ok.

Väldigt trevlig personal, rent, fin pool. Vi kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell.

I could not reccomend a hotel higher than this place. The staff are so helpful, the food is world class, the building and grounds are perfect and the pool is an osias. Stay here only if you want perfection-

We chose Villa Genesis expecting a relaxing boutique luxury experience in Menton, but unfortunately our stay fell well below expectations. Our arrival began poorly after we walked from the train station with our luggage because we had been told transportation assistance wasn’t available, only to later learn the hotel could have arranged it. After arriving exhausted, hot and dehydrated, we were met not with a warm welcome but with confusion over how we had entered the property. Throughout check-in, several front desk staff displayed dismissive attitudes, visible eye-rolling, condescending behaviour, and a lack of professionalism that was shocking for a hotel marketing itself as a luxury property. The first room bore little resemblance to what had been described, and we ultimately paid to upgrade after an unnecessarily stressful process. Service at the pool restaurant was equally disappointing. A simple request for a cheese platter became an uncomfortable interaction marked by inconsistent information and an unfriendly attitude. In our upgraded room, water spread across the bathroom floor outside the shower, causing me to slip and fall—a serious safety concern given I’m recovering from a major ankle injury. We were also repeatedly awakened by leaf blowers and loud staff conversations immediately outside our room early each morning. Villa Genesis is a totally unique, boutique hotel, accessible on the main road into Menton. Staff are all incredibly welcoming and helpful, speaking superb English. Our room was the "cosy" option - it's small, but well appointed. Bathroom is excellent, although you can flood the shower, if not careful. The room was cleaned well each day, although there was always a little item missing - we had bottled water left by the bed on 3 out of the 7 days and the coffee and tea sachets were not refreshed every day. Swimming pool is delightful with good amount of canopies but gets full quickly. Do not consider ordering a poolside drink as these are priced exorbitantly! Breakfast was typically continental and not included in the room rate, so we only sampled it twice. Enjoy the hotel for what it is, brilliant service and accommodation on a lovely historical villa.

Clean room with marble bathroom and all necessary amenities. High ceiling is wonderful. Room is on the smaller side. Convenient location close to beaches and ocean. On site parking is spacious, pool area is ok.
