Great location for city centre. A grand old-style hotel full of architectural quirks.

My second visit was not a patch on the first. Different room and floor. This room was very tired. The TV was a lot smaller and the wifi was not good or fast enough to stream anything so I had to tether. I was above a road this time as well, which meant road and city centre noise. Couple with the youths (non guests by the look of it) marauding around the corridors late in the evening, this stay felt dirty and unsafe! It's still a good price and the EV charging is a huge draw, but I would like to actually feel safe and clean in my room. I had a look in the morning and cannot see any CCTV cameras on the stairways or hotel corridors, so I guess they could go unnoticed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was a nice size. Breakfast was OK, but not worth the money - you'd be better off spending your money in one of the local cafes (there are lots nearby). I did like the additional fan in the room - I thought that this was a nice touch as the room did get quite warm, even with the radiator turned down.

TV was unplugged. Maintenance didn't turn up until we complained many hours later. Fridge stunk and was dirty, so did not use. Room needed updating and general maintenance. They messed up our dinner order and brought the starters with the mains. Breakfast was good. Great position in the city though.

Charming old building in a great location. Good bathroom facilities & comfortable bed. Friendly staff and easy check in and out.

It is an historic old building so the rooms are a little dated, but they are clean and have decent amentities - all I needed for an overnight stop. The location is good, the parking is plentiful. The lobby is an amazing looking space. The rooms are a little dated, but they are clean, the bed is comfy and the large TV has streaming options. The bathroom was clean and the shower had really good pressure. My new go to whilst in Bradford.

I stayed at the Midland because I had a hospital appointment the following morning. The rooms were adequate but basic. I wasn't impressed with the receptionist, I felt she was rather cold. Around 8pm I went to reception and asked the same young lady for a couple of extra pillows ( there was only one on the bed) she said she would send some up, they never arrived. There wasn't any information on the telephone to be able to ring reception.

Room facilities and overall looking very tired

Generous room sizes, foyer is beautiful, check in was easy, however, I would be mindful it is card only (not an issue for me) but as I was leaving someone was trying to check in and pay with cash and it caused some disturbance. I then tried to pay on my card (as other guest would give me the cash) and this was declined by the FOH. I would stay again and do reccomend!

I have stayed at the Midland frequently since I started working in Keighley in early February and until this week considered it an excellent, outstanding hotel with highly professional staff. I was so impressed that I took my wife there one weekend to show it off. I have travelled and worked globally for 25 years staying at some world class establishments in the US, China and everywhere in between, The Midland in Bradford can certainly 'hold its own'. Unfortunately this week changed my perception completely. The new reception team were struggling (unlike previous weeks where they were EXCELLENT). My room was supposed to be a no smoking room BUT it absolutely 'stank' of fresh cigarette smoke. The situation wasn't helped by the power cut on Monday but I can overlook that...it happens. A really important concern that needs addressing urgently however is the presence of homless people sleeping in the car park behind the hotel, it is very un-nerving and eventhough I am a very fit, experienced, martial arts practioner....I would not be comfortable with my wife and children staying in the hotel and going into the car park at night. Unfortunately in our broken society some people find themselves in this position and maybe there is a solution available to help everyone..rather than have homeless people in the car park....Can the hotel do something to address this...maybe offer them a room?
