The room was fine, not exceptional, for me, as I was only staying for 6 nights. I hadn't booked breakfast as it was only offered on a Sunday, but there is a "Sandwich Stop" attached to the hotel in the car park. Parking was adequate, but trying to exit onto the busy main road was a nightmare, as the hedges were so overgrown and hadn't been trimmed, so it was impossible to see traffic approaching from both directions. I arrived about 4.10 p.m., but there was no one on Reception, and at first I couldn't access the hotel at all as the main door was locked. However, someone appeared from the private flat above after a few minutes. During the rest of my stay, there was no one on Reception, so the hotel felt a little impersonal. I needed more tea bags, toilet roll and another towel, and had to call the landline to have these put in my room. I also stated whilst calling that there was NO hot water in my room on the washbasin, and although the first shower I had was warm, after this the shower was never warm or hot, but freezing cold. I know that someone had checked this, but still no hot water came through either the washbasin or shower at all. I feel that this is a basic commodity, and is not acceptable these days. However, I realise I had booked the hotel at a reasonable rate, but still I would have expected hot water. On checking out, again no one was around, and I left the keys in the glass "goblet" I had been told about.

I was not told anything about the sandwich bar being open in the morning... I assumed no evening meals as there was no sign of the restaurant being open. I was prepared for eating elsewhere. The hotel is located at a busy junction where traffic is constant ... I managed to sleep between 1 and 5am

Clean and stylish room. Close to motorways but still in the countryside.

Firstly, I didn’t make use of the ‘amenities’. I was visiting parents who had moved house so this was literally a place to rest my head. That being said, the restaurant staff were lovely as I arrived late when l they were finishing shift so helped me find keys and get in. The room was decent - comfortable bed, shower and separate toilet. The only gripe I had was that the toilet light was on a timer so when cleaning teeth/washing face etc light would go off after 15s or so. Would definitely stay here again.

The single room is small and basic but excellent value for money in a convenient quiet location near the M1. On-site restaurant is superb quality and value. There is also an attached sandwich bar which does a very decent low priced breakfast. Would most definitely stay again if near the area,

Parking is easy and next to the hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Location is good for access to the M1. Our room was clean and tidy, with tea/coffee facilities available. P

Hotel was such amazing quality for the price! Room was great, very clean. Rainfall shower, comfy double bed, tea/coffee making facilities in the room and extras on cute little tables around the hotel, small but not too small TV in the room.. - Breakfast was amazing quality for the price (at the time of stay - £10 for full English breakfast including a pot a tea) and chef couldn't have been any more accommodating for my autism son if she tried. 20 minute drive away from Sheffield Arena and about 7 minutes from the A1M. The 1 only downside I found - "Reception open 4pm-9pm with staff available" which wasn't the case when we stayed as no staff were available on reception unless called. HOWEVER, when I called (contact numbers on the door) about the possibility of checking in early as we arrived well before check in, the member of staff I spoke to was incredibly helpful, came to let us in early with no extra charge, showed us around & how the fob entry system works. Overall I would highly recommend! Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Stayed over for one night for a wedding reception at a nearby venue, as soon as we walked in the staff were so accommodating even having a hot platter done for us which was very plentiful, the rooms are really nice lovely bedding and the bath towels are huge I would not hesitate in recommending a stay here, all the staff here are some of the best we’ve come across in hotels

Good food menu. Nice beers too. Free Internet throughout.

The room was clean apart from a few cobwebs. We were on the top floor which was really hot, could benefit from an openable window or a fan. Other than that we had a great stay.

The room was very good, quiet, warm and well laid out. Breakfast and service were spot on. Will visit again
