Average accommodation, friendly staff, cleanliness need improvement , good location

Lovely location with very spacious rooms. The drying cupboard was really appreciated

This is a great place to stay. We had a great view from our room. The room was so nice. The bed was so comfy. The Bathroom was a really good size along with the room as a whole. It was in a great location not far from Ambleside. Checking was easy. The room was lovely and clean and i would definitely stay there again.

Pretty, quiet location. Especially liked the big lawn with a view of the lake. A very good value.

House was comfy and spacious but bit outdated Location was great with footpath to the lake's beach

Good value for money. Receptionist friendly and helpful. Stayed in Helvellyn Room 9 - STUNNING views across the lake. Old building but modern, clean rooms. All carpets, including stairwells clean and good quality. Would definitely stay again.

Near to Ambleside. Quiet and lovely views

This is our second stay in the lodges, very clean and inviting we love it.the views, peace and quiet, straight onto walk paths, theres derrs and pheasants. Would say in the heat weve just had to put a fan and a bottle of water in the fridge for guests arriving.

What a beautiful location , spent many hours gazing from our balcony , absolutely stunning scenery , they is a dog owners paradise , straight out the cabin onto beautiful lawns and fields , and mostly safe path to Ambleside apart from a stretch of about 100 mts , which is on the road , but managed well . The cabin itself is a very large clean room , huge comfortable bed , short balcony, which is safe , , large walk in shower cubicle , we asked for a fan because it was so hot , it was delivered in five minutes , overall the stay was exceptional ,

It was my trekking holiday. This accommodation was ideal.

A beautiful setting however poor lighting in the car park made it difficult to find our lodge. Didn’t like the musty smell of the room and the reception lobby was quite drabby and dis not look clean.

Definately stay again

Well worth the few minutes taxi ride into Ambleside to save a lot of money

No frills but value for money and a good location

Really beautiful location and a lovey old Manor House that’s now being put to great use! My room was clean and comfortable

The only thing we found disappointing was that the television didn’t work at all, there was no Ariel
