Second time staying and I'll be back!!

I am giving this 1 star. But here is the context. The property, staff, cleanliness and location were all wonderful. No complaints. However, I booked a night at this property via Expedia. There was no indication at the time of my booking that the resort required a $150 deposit fee. I realized that AFTER I booked and got the confirmation email. By that time I was already on a bus enroute with my daughter. Actually, we stayed here three years ago, my daughter liked it and her only request for her birthday was to go back to Travellers. I barely had enough money to do so and used the last of my cash to make her request happen. This in mind, when I got to the resort I explained that I learned about the deposit after the fact of booking. I explained that I was meeting a birthday wish. I explained this for near 30 minutes, after 9pm in the night and the Front Desk Clerk kept telling me that her manager was insisting on no deposit, no check in. Finally when I decided to reach out to Expedia to help, the Front Desk Clerk came to me and told me that they decided to waive the fee. This was now 40 minutes of humiliation later. I do not blame her. God bless her soul, she did everything to act as an intermediary and was very helpful. But the whole experience felt crushing and unfortunately, I will never stay here again. To be clear, I am not against their deposit policy. What I found blindsighting is that it was stated AFTER booking. It was humiliating. 😒

Great stay

This was my first time in negril and I couldn’t have picked a better resort to stay at during my time there. The staff was amazing, accommodating and nice. The signature cottage was exactly as pictured and such a home away from home. Drinks and food were great and other options were near by as well. I would definitely stay again!!

I recently booked this hotel from Sep 10-15 with my cousin for my 40th bday. We stayed in a standard room #42. Great spot in front of the pool and short walk to the beach and restaurant. I found it strange that we had an actually key to lock our room and not a card key. Food was delicious at the restaurant and well priced. Beach view is stunning ! Note: When there’s heavy rain the river goes into the beach and the water turns brown/yellow but last about 2-3 hours. This happened 2x during my stay. Tucker, beach security was great. We really appreciated him as we noticed that other security was not as attentive. This hotel has a local vibe which is what we were looking for. It is low season so it was not crowded which was perfect. We did not have hot/warm water for our showers but we didn’t advise the hotel staff as were too busy lol we managed. Great hotel on a budget, this is not a high end all inclusive. Not much service on the beach. We often ordered at the bar, not a big deal as the bar is pretty close to the beach. Some female staff was not as inviting as the males lol. We walked to the souvenir store and local stores for whatever we needed. Kenneth, one of the drivers drove us around and he was great and we recommend. Short drive to Rick’s Café. Loved Negril and would go back!

Travellers Resort was very welcoming. The staff was engaging, pleasant, helpful and courteous! Facilities were quite good. Service was excellent. Even the stray Cats were pleasant ):.

I love this hotel and the food and service is excellent. This is my go to place for rest, relaxation, and healing located on the beautiful 7 mile beach. Wonderful updates since my last visit and loved the new 2 bedroom suites with kitchenette and beautiful updated bathrooms and showers! Great food and entertainment
