The service is excellent and the staff are all friendly and professional. They were timely in delivering room service. Breakfast was great, great customer service. I really enjoyed my stay and most definitely, I will be staying there again

Clean and comfortable. Stuff where amazing.

I stayed for two nights in a one bedroom "Delux Chalet" which had a nice patio so you could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The room was very nice with a draw-around mosquito net on the bed which I didn't use. The bathroom had been completely renovated with floor to ceiling ceramic tiles with a full-sized bathtub at one end and a large shower at the other end. The room is extremely quiet at night and only the sounds of ducks quacking in the morning...no roosters! The complimentary breakfast served in the dining room patio area is absolutely terrific. The fried Chombo fish is caught fresh in Lake Malawi about an hour away. I passed on the fish. The sausages are very tasty and the bacon is quite thick. There is a girl behind the buffet-style breakfast bar that will make you an omelette or an egg any way you want it. The hotel staff are very polite and accommodating. For local transportation I highly recommend "B &C" taxi. This is also the same driver the hotel uses whenever guests need a taxicab. I would caution anyone arriving at the Lilongwe airport to not use any of the cab drivers that hang out at the airport. Their cars are run down, their fuel guages are all well below the "empty" line, and they charge too much for a ride to Lilongwe. You should not pay more than 60,000 Kwatchas for the 35-minute ride from the airport to town. Better that you call the front desk at the Lilongwe Sunbird Hotel and ask them to send their driver to the airport to pick you up.

Good place.

The Sunbird Lilongwe is a very nice place to stay when traveling. The staff if all amazing - very helpful and accomodating. Yasmin in the restaurant was great at serving our table. The one problem was the Wifi. It would not stay connected and we constantly had to log in. Also turn down service was hit or miss. Some nights we had it some nights we didn't. There was also a beautiful pool and nice fitness center. Overall we would definitely stay again!

Hyggelig betjening, rene rom. Jeg bestilte DeLuxe rom, var nok litt mindre enn jeg trodde. Men helt greit. God mat i restauranten, "rolig" tempo, men ingenting var noe problem

It worked for the purpose of the trip. Nothing extra ordinary to compliment on. Staff was great, except for one lady in the dining area, who was kind of annoying!

Lovely hotel well located in town. My airconditioning was not working and though it took a while, the team actually changed the compressor the same evening and ensured I got a good night's rest. Above & beyond. Highly recommend this place.

Clean, staff friendly

The hotel was clean and quiet and the staff were wonderful. My only complaint is that many of the things I wanted to order off the menu were unavailable.

Run down and dated

Nice hotel except for the food.

We hoped for solid wifi and some luxury on this stay… the place is nice, but needs maintenance (eg bathroom door lock missing, mosquito nets didn’t work). The Wi-Fi kept kicking you off and you had to log in repeatedly with a code that’s not memorable. Didn’t think it was worth the money. The location is good.
