After a small miscommunication with our first room the staff at Gerasa hotel corrected the issue and were awesome.
Hotel: The hotel is very nice and very clean! It's a popular venue for weddings on Friday nights. We arrived on a Friday night and the wedding music downstairs was bumping! Other than that night the hotel was quiet. The location is approximately 10-15 mins from downtown Amman. So out of walking distance but not too far. My wife and I liked the location as it's across from a university and has some local shops just next door. For bottled water I wouldn't recommend the cake shop next door. Walk down a few hundred feet to a local tea shop and buy it there. The tea shop also has good tea! Definitely recommend the morning breakfast. Omelettes and pastries were delicious. The Greek salad from the room service menu is awesome! Fresh cut vegetables and fresh feta were perfect!
Staff: Everyone we interacted with was amazing. They were very helpful and genuinely nice people. I would recommend this hotel based on the staff alone.
Tip: The size of the regular room will be small for most Americans, especially those who haven't travelled often. Go ahead and upgrade to the larger room for a bit more space, you won't regret it. Also, the hotel pillows are very fluffy. If you like fluffy pillows you'll be in heaven, if you like flat pillows bring your own.
