Great location to explore the Jebel Akhdar plateau. Hotel is a little bit tired but is still pretty good value for money. Friendly staff and licensed restaurant. Water heaters not particularly effective so don't expect a hot shower.

The hotel is a little tired and in need of a facelift but we wanted a relatively cheap but comfortable option for our one night on Al Jebel Akhdar as we were arriving close to sunset and leaving early the next morning. It was perfect for this. The food range for both dinner and breakfast is simple and very limited, and a little expensive for what is offered. But if you want a beer after a hard day of hiking then this is the place for you.

Good value hotel on the Sayq plateau. Hotel is old but has been well maintained. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Restaurant is licensed and the menu is good value.

Cannot say much as I only came to the hotel to sleep, very disappointed that i had to pay a rate with breakfast and I never took breakfast and when i asked them to deduct the breakfast they said they cannot. Hotel rate is extremely expensive I could have stayed in Sahab or Alila hotel and paid the same but enjoyed more the experience. Management should consider their pricing and internet connection was disaster, we had to go to the lobby to get connected and i think they turn it off in the night. Breakfast no variety at all and not pleasing to eat and being an hotelier it was not appropriate for me to see staff chewing food and eating while clearing the buffet and im still in the restaurant.

This hotel was located about 30 miles / 45 kilometers from Nizwa up in the Mountains. When i drove out there I was stopped at the foot hill of the mountain, at an army control post. As I did not have a 4 Wheel drive I was not allowed to drive up there, but had to park my rental car by the control post. I then had to phone a driver with a 4 wheel drive who could come in 45 minutes charging me 100 dollar for a return trip. The hotel do not provide any service to drive guest to/from the hotel. If you want to see the mountain this is a fine option. But please notice I paid $100 for one night + another $100 for the driver for a 3 star hotel, which was actually only a 2 star hotel. Internet does not exist at this mountain hotel.
