Clean and good location

Very central and conveniently located hotel.

Room.clean and super comfortable bed

First time staying at The Market House and very impressed. Staff friendly on arrival, room spacious and clean. The only slightly negative thing for me was that the room did not have a window which is my preference. I would stay here again.

One of the nicest hotels i have stayed in a while, room is modern, clean and spacious. nice touches with the bottled water, milk etc available from a fridge on 1st floor. Only criticism, there is no plug socket next to the mirror.

Great staff, lovely room (although very hot) and clean

I had a great stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a very good catchment area so your not in the hustle and bustle but just around the corner from the shopping centre and train station. It is reasonably priced and great location for someone travelling on their own. I would recommend

I regularly work in Reading and when I get the chance, I will stay in the Market House. I’ve stayed in a few of the other Reading central hotels and this is my favourite for the price and comfort. Rooms are always really clean, showers are nice and hot and I get a good night’s sleep. Andreea the host is very welcoming too!

Funky place to stay, loved it! Massive bed, huge room, free bottle of beer and a breakfast bag.. what's not to like!

The room was lovely but despite a confortable bed, got little sleep due to niuse outside in the scaffomdjng and the general outer area even witg rge window closed.

Rooms were better than expected, actually quite nice. The hotel was difficult to get to and we had to park quite far away after arriving in town after 6pm. No where to unload in front and traffic was heavy upon arrival. Reception was at the bar of hotel which was fine, but all a little awkward.

The bar staff do the check-ins. If you have questions when the bar isn’t open there didn’t appear to be staff around. However, there was a phone number to call. Breakfast was a paper bag in your room with dry porridge you add water to, drink boxes of juice, and apples. Room was clean. The rooms seem fairly pricy considering the lack of services provided.

Great location for a course I was attending and close to shopping centre and restaurants. Room was clean, spacious, and beautiful! Only thing I would suggest is that it would be nice to have a fridge in the room… other than that can fault the Market House!
