Positives: Staff were friendly, WiFi was strong and it is close'ish to the airport. Negatives: Everything else. The room was very very tiny (toilet in the shower) and mouldy. There was only a sheet, but it was cold enough in July to need a blanket. Fairly pricey taxi ride from downtown. Breakfast buffet was cold (including cooked items, like eggs).

The staff was friendly and the host but the condition of the room, the shower drain was blocked, room was too small for 5 people.

Place was nicely located... About 1 km from beachfront. The yard was nice with trees. I booked into a double bed bungalow which is very very tiny but was lucky to be upgraded to a family room even though I was alone. Owner and staff were very helpful except for the security personnel that could not hear the car arrive at the gate. Pool was very tiny but nice braai area. I wish at least 1 free bottle of water was offered in the room at check in. Bed and pillows were comfortable and airconditioning worked great. Room mini fridge did not work but the main fridge in the kitchen was available and staff never hesitated to assist in need. Early morning was nice full of singing birds... Quite relaxing and also meals are available on site. Breakfast was nice and quite enough including u got the eggs done thw way u requested. Overall yes it is Very Good value for money. Will definitely return.

Quite place with good service

My family and I had an amazing stay. On the night of our arrival, there were some challenges with the number of rooms we had booked, but the manager of the Guest House sorted it out quickly and even upgraded one of our rooms. The staff was really friendly. They even organised us a tour guide by the name of Emmanuel. He was the best and really ensured that we enjoyed our stay. We also got to chill next to the pool playing games as a family. It was truly amazing! I would recommend Liv Inn Guest House.

Chambre correcte mais manque de lumiere. Photos piscine un peu trompeuse. C est un bassin en fait. Un peu éloigné du centre ville. Voiture obligatoire. Endroit bien sécurisé. Parking gardé. Petit dejeuner correct sans plus.

LIV Inn is secure as well as the Are. Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and ear to assist.

Rui and his team are extremely helpful and considerate. They saved our Maputo holiday which is nearly ruined by South African Airway strike. The location is actually more preferable to the city locations for holiday. The charpas (local transportation) and hired cars are easily accessible.

The rooms were quite clean and comfortable (though small) and the garden/ pool area was lovely.

I experienced in my few weeks visiting five countries in Southern Africa, that the best option is to stay at a guesthouse, rather than a hotel. And Liv Inn Guest House on the outskirts of Maputo is no exception to that new-found knowledge. Liv Inn provides a very affordable, basic, clean and hospitable accomodation. It is like an oasis near the «waterpark» or «agua marina» two minutes by car from the beach front. A taxi would cost you from 600 - 800 Meticais from the center of the city. Only about 15 minutes drive to the airport. The host and owner, Mr Rui Talaia, is an American ex-pat with Portuguese roots. He is a very friendly, serviceminded and nice person. And he definitely makes you feel like a very welcomed guest. Very safe and secluded place. Liv Inn is indeed good value for the money 😎!
