The hotel itself was clean and is located about 20 minutes (walking) from the centre.
When we arrived, we had been allocated a double room instead of the twin room booked. It took a while to resolve this and due to this, the restaurant had shut by the time it was sorted out. The staff were unable to be flexible, even though they had caused the delay.
Whilst there is a pool at the hotel, it was fully booked and we were unable to use it during our stay, even though the hotel did not seem to have a high number of guests. We were offered a 9.30pm slot on our last night, but told we would have to pay for 3 hours of use which clearly was unacceptable.
The breakfast was adequate but not as good as expected. No fruit or decent yoghurt was available and staff seemed keen to move diners on as quickly as possible, snatching plates as soon as we'd finished eating.
To be fair, some of the staff were friendly and helpful - bringing towels and helping us with taxi booking.
However, as I had booked this hotel for the pool/spa facilities and it being advertised as 4 star, I was left feeling disappointed overall.
