The cottage was nice and well appointed however there were a couple of things that detracted from our enjoyment. The cottage is on a busy road and from around 5am onwards the traffic noise is constant. Despite the double glazing it is very noisy particularly upstairs. We had an elderly lady with us and because of the steep stairs and the fact that the bathroom was downstairs, she had to sleep on the sofa bed which was not ideal. Also the dishwasher had been removed just before we arrived and the plumber had not sealed the pipes. So if we let any water down the kitchen sink it flooded the kitchen. When I called about this problem it was suggested that I stick a tea towel in the pipe!!
