Before I book any resort, I read the reviews on here and reseach with the understading that there are always going to be differences in opinions and preferences. That being said, we do not recommend this resort. Here are our honest thoughts about the resort. We stayed at the all-adult side, El Beso. Good-The room was spacious. The beach and lagoon were beautiful. The pools and lazy river are nice. Needs Improvement-The food was below average. Do not have the steak at the steak house restaurant. Very disappointing. The best restaurants were the Italian and Mexican, but nothing was better than average. Poor-Overall, the service was poor. I think we had good service about 2 times the entire trip, Generally, we felt the staff was not hospitable and were indifferent towards guests. For example, we went to lunch one day and asked 3 times if we could order. After an hour of not receiving our food, we walked out. Looking around the restaurant, a lot of people looked upset. It seemed very disorganized, and the employees did not know how to multi-task. There were only 2 waiters for the entire restaurant, and other employees were standing around doing nothing. The first time we went to get towels, (on the day we arrived) the employee asked us to wait, and he used Google Translate on his phone. He then proceeded to tell us he was sick and hungry, and asked for money for food. This has NEVER happened to us before in the over 15 times we have stayed at an all-inclusive.

We had a great time at El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro. Our VIP perks through Expedia made a big difference. The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious, with a nice pool view. Huge thanks to our butler Jose Miguel—he was amazing and took care of everything for us. The pools were great and never too crowded. The beach was nice, but the sunbeds were in terrible condition—worn out and uncomfortable, definitely the biggest letdown. The buffet was excellent, with lots of variety and fresh options. À la carte restaurants were hit or miss: the Steakhouse and Mexican were disappointing, but Pez Dama was outstanding—the octopus and red snapper were incredible. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return, especially if the beach loungers get an upgrade.

Wow!! This is the nicest all inclusive resort I’ve ever stayed at. Ignore any lack lustre reviews I absolutely recommend this place and plan on returning in the future! As someone who’s been to my fair share of all inclusive resorts this by far is one of the nicest! I did a lot of review reading before this trip and ended up choosing this resort. Absolutely no regrets! Not only is it beautiful, there is so much to do, it’s very clean, the staff are wonderful, and the food is great! My go to spot was a small cove on the side of the beach where the ocean was a lot calmer.

I recently stayed at El Beso Adults Only, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout our stay. Our housekeeper did an outstanding job—she cleaned our room twice a day and always made sure the mini fridge was perfectly stocked. A special shoutout to our concierge/butler, Jose Miguel. He went above and beyond to make our trip seamless and enjoyable. He reserved all the à la carte restaurants for us in advance and was always available to help with anything we needed. His professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. The buffet restaurant was excellent—the steaks in particular were delicious, and the variety and quality of the other dishes were impressive as well. We also really enjoyed the lazy river. We had brought our own floaties , but ended up using ones left behind by others, which was super convenient. The only downside to our trip was the pushy approach regarding the membership program. We were pulled into a long, 3-hour presentation on our first day, which was not how we wanted to start our vacation. It felt a bit too aggressive and off-putting. That said, despite this one issue, I would absolutely return for another vacation. The service, amenities, and overall atmosphere made it a truly memorable stay!

The hotel itself was decent clean and nicely located, but I wouldn’t say it exceeded my expectations. There were some small inconveniences during the stay that made it feel more average than luxurious. However, I have to give special praise to the butler assigned to us. Jose Miguel was truly exceptional professional, attentive, and always one step ahead of our needs. From making thoughtful recommendations to going out of his way to personalize our experience, his service was top-tier. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and genuinely kind in the hospitality industry. If the rest of the hotel matched the butler’s level of service, it would’ve been a 5-star experience without a doubt.

Drinks were terrible and staff not that friendly. During checkout we were asked about our stay and when we mentioned the drinks were really bad the response was “next time you stay with us you can upgrade to privilege, the drinks are better”. Which is not true. There is no separate pool bars for privilege. Very disappointing. Our concierge was very good however and room was nice.

It is a beautiful clean resort. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The pools and the lazy river were amazing. Oliver at the lobby bar was the best! By far, the best food was at the Blue Moon. We went twice. We did not enjoy the Japanese restaurant at all and the food at the Italian restaurant was awful. The steakhouse was just OK. This being said, we certainly did not go hungry. We just would have liked to see higher quality meals at least at the A La Cartes.

The cove is amazing for swimming, however because it's public property, there is garbage all around it and seaweed not picked up. The food is decent at the buffet. A le carte restaurants are good as well, some of which was too salty, but all in all food is about a 7 out of 10. Staff is friendly, and we had a wonderful experience. Watch out for the guys in white shirts who try to sell you timeshare. We call them "the sharks." Stay away from the sharks! lol. If you like beach walking, this is not for you. Be sure to upgrade to adults only El Beso so you can sit in a chair on the beach by the cove, otherwise you will have to sit on the other side of the beach, which doesn't allow for swimming. El Beso adults only gives you access to a really nice Crepe restaurant for lunch, which was nice. The lazy river is fun, but bring your own flotation device as the stock is very limited at the resort. Our room was spectacular! We upgraded to an El Beso private rooftop jaccuzzi suite, which made our trip the best ever!

Very friendly and great service! Me and my sister had a blast and all the employees were so fun and social.

Food at all restaurants were really good. Service was less to be desired, particularly on the adults only side. It shouldn’t take 10-20 minutes for a drink and this was the norm on all days. My wife and I would have taken advantage of the spa if not for the prices (they were ridiculously high).
