Great self catering apartment But located close to bar and Fri night and Sat night had loud music till early morning.

Nice property with kind staff. Very good prices on food and drinks. The neighbouring restaurant however is very loud on weekends.

Pros: nice staff, helpful. Cons: room 108 is a very noisy room, it’s basically a pubic walk way to the diving school, there is constant coming and going’s outside your door. I lost count of the amount of people that stand outside this room and stare at themselves in the mirrored door to this room, it’s very annoying. Also this property has several power cuts a day, one power cut lasted well over an hour, I went to the ATM in town to pass time during the power cut, I came back and still no power. Then there was a power cut late in the evening when I was having a shower and the water went cold, it was pitch black and I ended up colliding with the bathroom door trying to find my way to my phone so that I could use my phone light. Also very annoying is the people that constantly hatrass you on the beach, they are relentless, ut becomes very stressful asking to be left alone every 5 minutes. I wanted to just have a peaceful walk along the beach and it is impossible. I even put my headphones on in the hope that I wouldn’t be harassed because I couldn’t hear them, but they walk alongside you anyway and persistently try getting your attention. I would not return to Zanzibar again because of this.

Property was amazing, cleanliness aswell, staff very friendly and welcoming.

Firstly, the employees are great and very helpful! The hotel is right on the beach, and close to other beach hotels, and restaurants. Easy access to kite surfing, scuba, and jet skis. You can also walk out what seems to be a mile into the ocean without having to swim. Beautiful beach! Having got the larger suite, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony were 10/10. The entrance room however was a little dirty, and the amenities, were a little dated. The couch is definitely not to be slept on either. However, having seen my friends single room booking, I would probably choose that next time instead! The restaurant on the facility is great, the coffee/ smoothie bar is 10/10 and the food is also never a miss. The view from the bar and restaurant are also a perfect place to relax and unwind. There are people offering massages, Masai handicrafts, and other locally made items on the beach, (they are not overbearing, and very polite) The walk from the facility to the Main Street is a bit odd at night, however I wouldn't skip it! The Zanzibar people are friendly, and mean you no harm! (just bring a flashlight as it is dark.) There is a small food court right next to the mosque, with familiar foods. But my favorite food the whole trip was actually from the street vendors just down the road! I would definitely stay here again!

Very cute hotel! I wish there was more entertainment in the evening. Friday music band was fantastic!

Our stay at Paje Beach Apartments was wonderul. We were in a room at the back of the property so had Friday night party music from the village. The rest of the week was not an issue at all and the area in front of the apartments on the beach was wonderful. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly.

Great spot for beach activities and Friday night fun with live music. Staff was awesome and supportive. Wish breakfast was a little cleaner. Lots of flies

We've had a great time in the Paje Beach Apartments & Hotel. It's a nice place to stay for a family or a couple. It is situated in a first line from the ocean, literally one step away from the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and kind, especially Madiba from the bar. Any issue we've had was taken seriously by the management and resolved immediately.

What an amazing place! Staff was so very nice. They remembered my name and were on top of any request I had. The location is absolutely perfect. You can not go wrong staying here. I loved their staff shirts at the restaurant so much I bought one for mys elf!

Rooms were simple but had everything you needed. Beach was beautiful and magical. Lounge chairs are nice but people who do not have reservations at the hotel are allowed to use them which takes away from those who have paid to stay there. Staff is attentive. On site restaurant was great, ate lunch and dinner there and food options were yummy. It does take about 45-1hr for food to come out so plan accordingly. Would recommend to stay here if you're coming to Paje.

The place is great and the service was even better. Food at the restaurant was great including the breakfast buffet.

The staff was amazing. Fred and Abel were great hosts and went the extra mile. We highly recommend this little piece of paradise to anyone coming to Zanzibar.

This place is amazing, it’s located by the beach, with the sun-beds facing the ocean, but still a lot of shade for someone who wants to avoid sun. I arrived there early at 11 and they were so kind to let me check in as the room was ready. The staff is really nice there. Breakfast is super good, there is a live station for eggs and pancakes, and also a good selection of fresh fruits, bread, and warm sides like spinach or sweet potatoes. You will get a fresh juice too. Room was very spacious and clean, with convenient European chargers and usb stations. Bathroom was clean and there is also a wardrobe, everything super comfortable. In the evening they prepared my bed with the mosquito net and closed the curtains. It felt really cosy. I wish I could stay longer there.

Amazing location , lovely staff and great food. Accommodation was very expensive for just room only. We could have had 5* for that money. Loud families in the pool were also a drawback if you wanted a rest in the afternoon

Area, people, food, everything was good. We were even upgraded to an apartment when we extended our stay for another 3 days. Downside was the wifi connection. Out of 6 days we probably had internet for 2 days. The days we had internet, it was to slow to even read a news paper online. If they upgrade their wifi and internet, I would give the stay 5/6, and then go again. And it needs to be mentioned that every Wednesday they have a DJ and too loud music until 24:00. It is on your doorstep, so no point going to bed until 24:00 that day.

Nice hotel in the middel of Paje beach. Beds where really good, bathroom was pretty simple. Great pool area with bar and access to beach. Really nice staff. Lots of restaurants nearby such as Shanga next door, and also a skybar across the street.
