Beautiful space with an incredibly kind staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The chambers are wonderfully designed, and spacious. Everything is well maintained, and the cooking is absolutely wonderful. If you can, definitely go full-board. The surrounding town and mangroves are beautiful, and all the lodge's activities are thoughtfully planned, authentic, and easy to coordinate. Am planning on returning as soon as possible. We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury" resort--there's no wifi or AC-but for the average traveler who wants to feel comfortable and relax, and who is interested in not seeing the "same old" Senegal, this place is for you! I would return again without hesitation. While you're there: take a day trip to Fadiouth and the amazing Musee Mich

Séjour en famille avec 2 enfants 4 et 6ans. Endroit superbe! Mes filles ont dormi dans la maison des 3 petits cochons;-) toit en paille, salle de bain à ciel ouvert + eau chaude =grand luxe. Jolie piscine , restaurant au bord de l'eau. Personnel adorable et cuisine très copieuse et délicieuse. Certains viennent pour se détendre au calme, certains en groupe mais en tout cas un petit goût de bout du monde. Vous avez juste à côté le village des femmes de simal, profiter pour négocier vos petits cadeaux ! Canoës disponibles au lodge, ballade en pirogue possible et le must Marie-Louise la masseuse ! On est restés 4jours et 3 nuits top top top. Merci pour ces bons moments. Attention pas de wifi.
