It’s ok

I’m confused as to why this property has high ratings. When I tried checking in, they told me that I don’t have a reservation, even though I had booked and paid in advance before I left Canada. I told them I’m not leaving and I need a room. I even showed them my booking email confirmation. So after talking to the manager, they gave me a room. The room itself was clean and the washroom was well stocked with toiletries. However, the hotel is right by the road and the rooms are not sound-proof as identified. I didn’t sleep properly the whole night and it felt like I was sleeping on the road with all the traffic noise. In the morning, I asked reception if I could switch to another room as it’s too noisy on that side of my room. They said they will let me know. Since I was only in Kampala for a few days, when I didn’t hear anything by 10am, I decided to check out and find a better hotel.

I am from the United States and stayed in Hotel Eliana for my first 2 nights. It is a very clean & modern feeling property. The staff are very professional and the manager of the property is a great guy. I booked an Executive room & the interior designers did a FANTASTIC job with the design details. The non-standard Executive Room “bedroom area” is designed above what would be considered a nice property in tye US. The free breakfast for the guest was very enjoyable & filling. This hotel is also walking distance to many restaurants, stores, barber shops, salons & shops. The Ntinda community of Kampala is just on the outskirts of the city center. You will get a great feel for the culture by just walking around the main road of the property. Inexpensive taxis & boda bodas (motorcycles) can easily be caught right outside your door. Keep up the great work Hotel Eliana. This property I believe is by far one of the best values for your money!!

Awesome hotel with super friendly staff we loved our stay there!!

I liked this hotel for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food is very decent, the amenities is everything that you need. Pillow and mattress is comfortable. Most importantly it is clean. I liked having a gym and as a foreigner I liked that it is utilized by locals. I saw a wedding, and heard the sites and sounds of the city. I did have a large quiet room to escape to.
