There was a delay in getting the key from reception of local hostel as code had not been sent/received and receptionist seemed wholly unable to help. Joivy / host responded to email quite quickly but not a great start. Rest of stay was a pleasure and great location, etc.

We stayed 5 days at the flat. The location was amazing. It’s right at the base of Victoria Street which is one of the most iconic streets in Edinburgh. It’s directly across from the Harry Potter store where people queue to enter all day. The flat has a large family room with a fold out couch. 2 nice size bedrooms and a kitchen. The bath is in one room and a small toilet room. They provided plenty of towels and toiletries. The beds were all comfortable. The only concern we had was the amount of noise outside. The flat is on the first floor and especially over the weekend the loud noises coming from all the folks leaving the surrounding pubs was very loud.

Outstanding location and the room was big enough to accommodate my family (2 adults and 2 kids) along with my mother-in-law. The price was incredible and the size of the apartment was amazing, all while being right in the middle of Edinburgh. The only draw back was parking, as it was not entirely close and convenient, but that isn’t even really worth considering when you see what you get otherwise. This will be where I look for lodging first whenever I go to Edinburgh. 10/10
