Handy location and a great place—from the front desk to the room. Valet very helpfull with parking and loading car.

This hotel is highly recommended. Not only the beautiful property, but the staff at the front desk to the servers at the lounge / restaurant were so personable, professional and so fun to chat with. This will be our main hotel in our future visits. Halifax was a blast!! Thank you Sutton.

I’ve stayed here several times for work. Monday-Friday. First time I’ve been there for the weekend. Stay away for the weekends unless you’re there to party. We traveled with our kid so was looking forward to a comfortable night sleep each night. Nope. Very loud from the bars below. And morons red lining their cars on the street till 2am. Also for the price there was nothing above and beyond. They didn’t even stock our bar fridge one day. Staying at the Fairmonts there is always above and beyond service. Staying at the Sutton was very much just a nice room to sleep in.

They charged us $500 for one night, put us on the same floor as the Jim that we heard for hours, our view looked out into a bunch of weeds and industrial equipment, and the room was definitely not what we had expected or experienced in the past from this hotel. At that cost, you’re better to go down the street and stay on the water at the Muir hotel. Will not be returning.

Sutton Place once again lived up to its name. Great hotel, great service and very nice rooms and amenities. Conveniently located for access to the downtown core of Halifax including the harbor front and restaurants.

Very nice hotel, great location in walking distance to the citadel and the harbour. Staff was friendly and helpful with storing our luggage and making up the pullout couch for us. Our room had a nice view of downtown. There is no pool unfortunately, and limited hot tub hours.

I wanted to love this hotel but ... through 15 days in Nova Scotia, we stayed at three official hotels and this was our least favorite by a pretty good margin. It's a weird hotel, in many ways. We were assigned - to our surprise - a handicap accessible room. It was not great. The floor in the bathroom was actually slick - I slipped on it when it was dry. We were on the 10th floor and the water pressure for the shower was almost non-existent. My wife didn't want to wash her hair because she wasn't sure she could rinse it well enough. There wasn't nearly enough room in the bathroom for 'stuff' like your dope bag or toiletries. The bed is probably the hardest we experienced in our trip. The staff is a bit - maybe more than a bit - pretentious (excepting the valets, they were great). The in-house restaurant was the worst dining experience in our trip. Parking is the most expensive we experienced. The room service was - well I wanted to say hit or miss but it was mostly a miss. They didn't replenish the in-room coffee/tea service. (I know, a small thing - but at the prices they have, it's kinda a given.) Plus, they were super busy. We had better experiences elsewhere.

Very spacious room with comfortable beds and modern bathroom/shower. Great location for walking around Halifax.

We stayed one night at the Sutton Place Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The hotel was very nice and conveniently located. We were walking distance from the harbor and the Citadel. The staff was pleasant and helpful in helping us find restaurants. Our room had a great view and was very spacious.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sutton Place, Halifax. It was clean and comfortable. I smiled when I saw the complimentary water, bathrobe and slippers. The bathrobes were so comfortable we purchased one at checkout. The hotel was centrally located to everything. We walked a lot because everything was so convenient. I will most definitely stay there again.
