We only stayed one night at The Cherry. It suited our budget and was a short bus trip away from the ABBA VOYAGE arena.
The tube connection was just down the road, so getting around the city was straightforward.
The Cherry is a quirky pub. Its an old building so some things are forgiving and add character. Ge young man that greeted us, was 100% polite, friendly, professional and allowed us to enter our room early to freshen up. The stairway to the rooms had a fire escape feel. Carpeted, but bland and functionable.
Although small, our room had what looked like a brand new bed with built-in side shelves, sockets with USB charger, which was a god send as I'd forgotten my plug! ..with reading lights. The carpet also looked quite new. There was also an airconditioning unit...also grateful for this! The thing that let it down a little for us was that among all the new things, there was a tatty cupboard for the tea&coffee..and hairdryer.
The window had blown. This was covered with a cheap blind. The dark green paint was peeling off the windowsill and the skirting was thick with dust. No hooks or rail on the wall to hang anything.
The shower room was the smallest space. With a basin set in the top of the cistern. The shower cubicle was however, a good double size with nice wash & hair products.
There was a hook on the inside of the showroom door for a towel..but nowhere to hang a second wet towel to dry if a couple were staying an extra night.
All in all, it suited our needs
