Great location and beautiful view in front of the pier. Bathroom was the best thing in the room, can tell that it has been renovated. Much room for improvement on housekeeping and the rest of the room, such as windows and cleaniness of appliances like hairdryer and kettle. Fair deal in terms of what we paid. At the same time, I can understand the mixed reviews.

A grand seaside hotel with efficient service, popular bar and restaurant. Though facilities may be old e.g the lifts, yet they are well maintained. Entrance hall and lounge galleries are huge, relaxing, and comfortable.

Staff on reception great always helpful ,pet friendly and clean room just needs a little more tlc to rooms especially when itcomed to older people

This hotel has seen better days and it shows. It's not the fault of the staff. The price reflects this though.

An aging property that is showing it..... No housekeeping during my 3 night stay. Internet in lounge a bit erratic. Buffet breakfast was good and evening meal excellently presented and enjoyable......customer service was Louis deserves special mention - first rate....!! Overall an enjoyable stay.

Unfortunately tainted as the room we stayed in smelt of cigarettes and don’t blame the smoker for opening up the window and having a cheeky smoke as we we were soooo far away from reception we had to take Kendal mint cake for the hike and phone had no signal or idea called an uber lol This was valentines night and a treat for my partner which turned out to be the beginning of the end of 4 year relationship ! March now and single ! My own fault but partly blame the lazy smoker ( don’t really ) Other than the points I’ve mentioned HANDS DOWN best hotel in Eastbourne ! I just won’t be needing. It again :(

Our stay was very good, our room was big and the beach view perfect. The inclusive evening meals were good, but, can always be hotter. My only shortcoming, to mention, is that the booking web sight makes no mention of a 40+ hotel car park at the rear of the premises, available at just £6.00 per day. That is cheaper than the on street parking available and far less hassle than having to either move or update a meter at 8.00 o’clock in the morning.

A good value hotel in an excellent seafront location within easy walking distance of the town centre, shops and restaurants. The building is old and a little dated but has plenty of charm, with quirky lifts and very friendly reception staff. Our clean twin room had a lovely sea view and all the essentials, although some of the electrics looked a little outdated. We didn’t receive housekeeping during our stay and had to request fresh towels. The room was extremely hot due to the heating being set high, and although staff kindly provided a fan, it wasn’t possible to adjust the temperature in the room. Opening the window also proved tricky after a pigeon flew in on the first morning. There was also an unpleasant cannabis smell on our floor during part of the stay. Breakfast offered a good self-service selection, including a full English, though dining room service varied depending on staff. Overall, despite being a little dated and having a few quirks, the hotel is clean, affordable and well located, making it a solid budget-friendly choice. 🌊🏨

You can see how wonderful this old building would have been in the day. It has a kind of charm but feels like it could literally crumble at any moment it's clean and the staff are lovely. It's cheap and with a little bit of nostalgia a lovely stay great view perfect location and I would absolutely stay again.

The hotel could do with some updating everywhere. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Awful hotel. Filthy walls in room, filthy carpet. Strange smell in bathroom. Every wall in room a dark depressing grey colour. Upon check out I said "good morning" to the reception staff who were too busy chatting among themselves and totally ignored me when I was trying to check out. They looked straight at me but blanked meI therefore I simply left the key on the reception counter and left. Vile rude staff would never book again. I am a platinum member on hotels. Com and would say this has to be one of the worst. There are much better hotels in Eastbourne at a similar rate and with much better standards. Avoid at all costs.

The shower was nice and powerful. The room was clean. I always wipe down the TV remote wherever I stay. The antibac wipe was clear after giving the remote the once over. Breakfast was good and is better value if you pay at the hotel.

This is the second time we’ve stayed. The staff are Great staff and very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. We’ll see you very soon!
