Guests should be allowed to use the restroom in the lobby if needed when they enter the property. The option to get breakfast included should be available on Orbitz. Room differences should be made clearer by being more thorough in the descriptions and photos.

The property was simply okay. If you’re seeking a budget friendly area near the beach and still by strips of restaurants, this may be the place for you. I believe the upkeep is average because this resort is definitely on the smaller side and could be maintaining way more. However, I do believe this may have been a hotspot 10 years ago, but it could benefit greatly from a remodel now. There were also ants crawling from under the walls into the bathroom. I could tell this was a usual routine for them and that they probably aren’t used to guest interrupting their flow. The morning front desk lady was so helpful, accommodating, and able to assist us quickly in rectifying the issue for both of the rooms we were staying in.

Even though this was a short stay, the room was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was also well-maintained. I would definitely stay again!

I slept very well.. which was the most important.

We arrived in Barbados the night before our five night Sandals stay so that we could maximize our time on our first day at the resort. Melbourne Inn did exactly as we needed, a clean, safe place to spend the night, we checkout about 730am. It was about a fifteen minute uber ride from the airport, and a five minute walk to Sandals. Our only downfall, which had nothing to do with Melbourne Inn, was that we arrived about 1030pm and couldn’t find anywhere with food still open. We found a few bars, but they had stopped serving food, so no dinner for us. The staff were kind, check in and out was easy, we’d stay here again!

Melbourne Inn is an excellent hotel. It was  comfortable,  clean, relaxing, convenient, memorable, and welcoming. The front desk staff  were pleasant, helpful,  polite,  reliable ,  respectful, and informative. Also, our compliments to the chef on making an amazing omelette.  We will definitely make it our accommodation of choice on our next visit.

The room and property was clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the restaurant breakfast was very good.

The location of Melbourne Inn is good — close to shops and restaurants, and about 15 minutes by taxi from the capital. The staff was okay as well. My main issue was the hotel’s visitor policy. Visitors are not allowed in your room and can only meet you in the lobby or near the pool. I find this unreasonable because guests are paying for their rooms and should be informed clearly about such restrictions beforehand. Also, people book hotel rooms for privacy and personal comfort. If someone wants to spend private or intimate time with their visitor, it obviously cannot happen in the lobby or by the pool. Policies like this should be made very clear before booking so guests can decide whether the hotel suits their needs. If this is the standard policy at Melbourne Inn, they should put it clearly and boldly on their website to avoid surprises and misunderstandings.

This property was in a quiet area but very close to all of the bars and entertainment in the Gap .The beach was close but the pool in the property was beautiful and very quiet . Yes the reviews were very accurate for the Melbourne Inn

We had a great stay here. The staff are so lovely! They are friendly and helpful and so personable! The hotel is nice enough. Our room was fine but our friends room had some issues. The hotel gave them a credit at the end of the week because of the issues which was good. The location is really terrific also. Close to many restaurants, walking distance to everything and right near Dover Beach. I would definitely come here again.

The location was ideal

Great hotel for an affordable price. The room was clean and well maintained with air conditioning. The bed was okay, and I slept just fine in it. The walls were a little thin so you might hear the tv from the room next door a little bit. The room was spacious enough, and we had no problems with hot/ cold water or the toilet. The pool was beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The surrounding area is fantastic with a mini grocery store close by. The nearby beaches were wonderful and the local restaurants were excellent. Overall it was an excellent little hotel in St Lawrence Gap, with plenty of excellent beaches, and excellent resteraunts nearby.

Nice hotel.

Great pool, bar and restaurant, especially at happy hour. Very clean with professional and friendly staff. Room cleaning every other day, but our 7 night stay only had 1 full cleaning, seemed like the housekeeping schedule was not ideal. Would stay again if in the area.
