Our stay there was wonderful! 😊 the room has everything we need, the staffs were nice and the view is stunning!

We booked 3 rooms through Expedia. I thought they were quite expensive for what we paid, 280 each for superior sea view. When we arrived after a long drive taking over 9 hours we were told we only had 2 rooms booked. The manager was gone ages and came back telling us there had been a mistake, tried to blame Expedia and took two members of our party to its sister hotel, the Pedn Olva up the road. It’s a nice hotel but meant our party had been split up. The room in the Pedn Olva was tiny, hot and not great. One of us squashed up by the bed nearly knocking the telly off the wall trying to get out. The two rooms at the Life Boat were ok, one was nicer than the other and we wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Too hot and noisy, one had lots of stairs and to be honest felt a bit unclean. The manager told us we would get the money back on the room they hadn’t booked but when we tried we didn’t get anything back. This was the fault of the Lifeboat as Expedia wasn’t at fault.

Fantastic apartment style accommodation with views over the harbour. Swam in the harbour, ate at the pub, ventured out to many sightseeing spots! A great stay !

This seems to be a restaurant with rooms upstairs rather than a hotel with a restaurant downstairs. It started a couple of days before when the hotel sent a message saying that "some rooms" have steep stairs and to notify them if that was an issue, so they could best accommodate. I was a little caught off-guard, but just replied I would have heavy luggage and it would probably be best to be placed in a room that wouldn't require the steep stairs. I received no reply and, upon checking, found that all rooms have steep stairs. The room I received was on the top floor with ALL the steep stairs. After a long travel day, I arrived exhausted and hungry. The hostess at the restaurant checked in hotel guests. They were having some sort of trivia night, and it was busy. I kind of felt like I was interrupting their work at the restaurant. She rushed me to my room and kindly helped me carry the big suitcase up all the stairs. I was then told that there would be no table for me to eat at the restaurant that night, but there were other food options nearby. My room...very hot and stuffy. Windows open as far as they go, and a fan that barely blew. I did not sleep well. Outside...loud throwing of bottle-filled bags and LOUD deliveries at 6:00 AM. I put the "please service my room" sign up because I needed coffee supplies; no one came. I never saw a person outside of the girl who checked me in, other than the server at breakfast. PROS...Good breakfast with a guaranteed table and decent room.

I can’t say enough good about the location of this hotel. It is literally along the harbor walkway with a view of the little bay And it is very cute and quaint outside. Other than that, it could use a lot of help. We rented the little apartment in the Inn that had one bedroom and a sitting area with a pullout couch and then upstairs had a little living room and kitchen. We were a party of three adult sisters, and there was a queen bed and a pullout bed. The pullout bed was so bad that she found it much more comfortable to sleep on the couch upstairs. It is a very old house, so just be warned that the stairs are very steep, and the floors are not all perfectly horizontal. The kitchen was partially furnished, but no forks and no butter knives at all. The shower was fine, but you had to flush the toilet at least three times to get it to actually flush. We had driven and there is no parking so you need to pay for a parking at somebody’s house/driveway that they are willing to rent. We did this online separately from the. Hotel When we arrived the hostess at their Restaurant was the one that gave me the key. No papers whatsoever and when we checked out, I had no way of finding anybody because the restaurant was closed and the doors were locked. Unfortunately it is not well run. But we did feel lucky to stay in the location. It’s a very cute little town.

Cute boutique hotel with a few quicks in a very convenient location! Morning breakfast was fantastic!!

A lovely few days in St Ives. Helpful friendly staff perfect location on the harbour breakfast was excellent and even won a few few lines at the lifeboat inn bingo night. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Very clean room. Very helpful staff. Noise from restaurant did not bother us. Steep stairs but staff helped with bags.

Room was immaculate and the view was stunning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Couldn't fault the place.

Lovely little cozy apartment that was perfect for our three night stay. Linens were crisp and duvets were fluffy. The staff were all delightful and we loved the sea views. 10/10

Spotless room, good breakfast and amazing location!

The room was good but difficult to navigate up the stairs. However staff all very friendly and our dog was made very welcome which is why we chose to stay at the Lifeboat Inn again. We stayed with our dog two years ago. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

Cozy and lovely apartment. Great sea view. No parking but easy to find long stay parking with few minutes walk. Many restaurants nearby.

Great view of the harbour from the room. Nice big bath and a great strong, hot shower. Nice quality toiletries in the room. Decent food. St Ives was bustling which was nice for a January stay.

We had a great stay at the Lifeboat Inn. The room had an amazing view over the harbour. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were very welcoming and friendly
