Room cleaning is dreadful, they wouldn’t even offer toilet paper. We’ve ask ed the counter and it takes an hour to get the “toilet paper” We’ve stayed for three nights and they couldn’t seem to care the least

Beautiful hotel , spotless and gorgeous rooms. It felt like the whole team was very disjointed - I’m not sure if it’s a new team and there isn’t enough of them or they just aren’t working well to make service flow. Not the usual 5* Novotel standard of customer service which is a shame because it really is a lovely hotel. Breakfast was great as always , again not enough staff to make it flow but the ones that were trying to get people seated were working hard just a crazy amount of used dirty tables not being cleared - I mean management must know it’s going to be busy if the hotel is busy. These details make me want to not go back. This could easily be a premium hotel with a bit more staff training and more staff.

Didnt really get chance to use the pool or facilities like sauna and stuff TV was just too loud and would not go down in volume or anything pay a extra £10 fee for a double bed instead of the two single beds and the double bed was not even a full bed it was like a small standard double bed, Little bit of a expensive for a single one night stay there and the double bed in stead of two beds for the other fee was not worth it,

The hotel was modern, clean and had a lovely feel about it, helped by a friendly, warm welcome from the staff. My standard queen room was a good size and well-equipped. I used the gym and pool and was happy with that too. My room overlooked the train station, but despite that it was really quiet, and I appreciated how easy it was to get the train into central Cambridge. I would definitely recommend the hotel and stay again.

Great hotel, clean room and friendly staff. The breakfast was really good, only downside of the stay is that the swimming pool is small.

Duvet cover was dirty had a really bad smell when you put you got close to it, all the staff could do was say sorry. Parking isn’t free, pool is nice but small.

This was our third stay here and it didn't feel as good this time. Room was nice but would have benefited from a deep clean. Pool is great but jacuzzi was out of order and every time we collected a pool key card it didn't work and we had to traipse back to reception. Breakfast options are good, but things ran out and were slow to be replenished, only one coffee machine was working so a big queue, and our table wasn't cleared in the whole time we sat there. Location is helpful as there is parking and then various bus services into the city, or it's a nice walk along the river. Staff very friendly but alot of them were new and unsure of how to do things.

A very good hotel in a convenient location, although beware of parking if Cambridge Utd are at home, as it can be very busy.

Stay at this hotel often, usually everything is perfect and I enjoy staying here often. This time on arrival, there seemed to be an odd smell in the corridor whe getting out the elevator, when I entered the room there was sliders in the bottom of the toilet and half a loo roll like it had been used and not cleaned. The rest of the room was clean as usual. When I returned back on the second day, the toilet was ‘running’, like the system was filling up with water but it never stopped. Had to flush the toilet a few times to clear. Think this was an off chance as I’ve never had it before- would stay again but disappointed with this stay.

New hotel with clean rooms. Quite isolated next to Cambridge North but I would stay again. No discount parking available.
