Older motel yet clean! Friendly staff. If you want to see water from room, book river side! Be nice if path to the small beach was available

By all appearances from the outside, this is a cute motel. Inside the larger rooms, it was quite nice when you first enter. Aged but not bad. The fridge temperature was lukewarm and wouldn't change. Beds were comfortable but 2 very small pillows per queen bed didn't quite cut it with 3 kids and an adult. The bathroom was atrocious. Rotten wood due to shower head spraying everywhere. Could not adjust the high pressure for the little ones. Black mold in the corners, mildew and calcium build up everywhere else. The shower head wasn't fully attached to the wall and neither was the faucet. I did my best to avoid any further water damage but couldn't. AC worked well however the curtains are not blackout. And didn't fit the whole window which was an issue because the floodlights facing the units penetrated the room. It was daylight all night. The fire alarm kept tripping at 4am because of dust or insects. Not sure. THe screen door did not have a screen in it so you couldn't keep it open for fresh air. Another lesson learned.

Friendly front desk clerk. No drama. Got a goodnights sleep. Blind River is a nice little town to walk around and explore.

The river view room was small, and toilet wasn’t working and neither was the tv. That stuff happens. However next morning, shower handle fell off…. I expected a little more for the price we paid. I fixed the tv wires and toilet. I spoke to manager and he knew what room…so clearly that’s been a problem, not fixed. The shower curtain also had mold on it. Beds were comfy… It was pet friendly. Thank goodness ,we have dogs. Overall, it wasn’t bad and would stay again. Definitely asking for different room. Restaurant right across the road, real food… not expensive! Give it a try…..

This property is aptly named - The Old Mill Motel. I would add one more word to the name, “VERY” Old and it is in need of either tearing down or a majorly expensive update! The only good thing about the room was a comfy bed, when really, if you are on a really tight budget, that’s all that matters. The problem is there is little to choose from in Blind River. The room was clean, but as basic as you can get. Room 21 appears to be sinking in the middle, as there is a definite slope to the room! The ceiling is also bowed in somewhat, so maybe the building is going to slide into the river right next door! Arriving at 6:00 pm, the rooms were mostly full and there was no hot water left. The TV remote is useless, except for turning the TV on, which then says “no signal” no matter which button you push. The bathroom electrical plugs did not function, nor the one near the door. It is ALL very old and dated. At least with no TV for the evening, I went to bed early and did have a good sleep, allowing me an early get away in the morning. No problem with other guests was noticed in the night. I would not choose to stay in Blind River again.

Clean, large rooms and a friendly staff on a beautiful little river. Close to amenities, pet friendly.

This motel is currently under construction, and some of the rooms are being renovated. It appeared that people were full time residents living in most of the rooms. Our room did have a working microwave and refrigerator. The furniture and bed were old and in poor condition. The room itself was relatively clean. The wifi did work. The motel is dog friendly and there is a fenced area for your pet. It was very pricey for the quality of accommodations. Parking was free, but that was the only amenity. I would not stay here again.

I like the view the room was pretty plain needs to be updated to at least the 2000s But overall convenient location beautiful view

Did not get room we paid for. The Riverview room we booked in his words was for someone with a pet.. Given a room in the back. Not Good for the price we paid.

we had a roof over our heads, hot water eventually and the view of the river was incredible....other than that i rate the place 1 star. Bathtub handle fell off, towels are thread bare, tiny old bar soap, broken shower curtain, one dirty window with old torn curtain. I would rate the raging river 5 stars tho

nope no AC and tv didn’t work

Definitely great location, that is about the only nice thing I can say! No heat in the room when we got there. Took at least 3 hours to warm up, we left and went for dinner. No extra pillows or blankets When it was time to sleep the light outside or door lit up our room like daylight. Bed was comfy Next morning went to use the toilet and wash up .... No WATER!! Called front desk and was told they were working on another part of the motel and shut it off!! No warnings! Will not stay again

We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room.
