Hidden gem! Amazing place with all needed amenities and great location!

The Montague Rose Inn run by Zainub and Ben Faulkner-Malik is an absolute gem. The house is a gracious and welcoming treasure. Zainub and Ben saw to our every need and treated our two golden retrievers as valued guests. They have a charming cafe on site for breakfast smoothies and snacks. The Inn is two short blocks from Water Street (the main downtown)and you're at the seaside with glorious views, parks, lighthouses, and hikes. The neighborhood is wonderful for walking. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back. Also the town of St. Andrews is unexpectedly beautiful and charming. One of the best places that we have stayed.

The room I booked was perfect, with jacuzzi and with ocean view. It was very clean and had a very nice smell. Surrounded by trees with singing birds that I really appreciated. It was a great stay.

Fabulous B&B & owners, highly recommend

It's a beautiful property and the pet friendly room we stayed in on the main floor was just renovated. The shower has great water pressure and the bed was so comfortable. There was a big common room, called the Tea Room, where we ate breakfast and were able to work for a couple of hours. It was just a short walk to the water and all the restaurants. The hosts were just lovely and had lots of recommendations for what to do in the area. Everything in the area was very dog friendly. Highly recommend this inn and will be back.

This house was very interesting and the owners are very nice and diligently restoring/maintaining much of the original character. There were some minor issues with the coffee appliances (tricky switches) and the refrigerator was not cold enough. Also we were unable to watch TV because the remote control batteries were dead and it was too late to call the owners. The cafe had very limited offerings, which was disappointing as we had hoped to breakfast there before we left for home. When we arrived, (after 9 pm) the owners told us that room that was readied for us was not dog friendly but although they made an exception for one night. They moved our room the next night. Clearly there are communication problems between Expedia and this Inn, as we were clear about needing a pet friendly accommodation with Expedia. That being said, our experience was generally positive and its location to the main attractions in the village is certainly a great selling point.

A clear shower curtain would help the shower not be so dark. Just a thought.

The accommodations and hosts were lovely! Really appreciated the walkability…shops and restaurants (and beautiful views of the bay) only 2 blocks away.

We absolutely loved our stay. The owners are so friendly and nice. Our room was beautiful and comfy. We stayed in The Capulet. I’ll definitely come back and would recommend it to friends to stay. It’s a short walk to the restaurants and shopping.

Our stay was great! Ben was super helpful and very accommodating. We loved that they welcomed our 18 month granddaughter. She sure enjoyed! We did have issues with the keurig coffee and was not very good.

The house/bedroom was charming. Very relaxing stay. Nice to be walking distance to town for shopping and eating. The hosts were very friendly.

Inn owners were friendly and helpful. It was our first visit to St. Andrews. The Montague Rose was convient in downtown with many dining options. We will visit again!
