We loved our stay at The Beetroot, we stayed in the studio overlooking the terrace. Large space, comfy bed, quirky and modern decor. Paul was very helpful and friendly too. Great location in Margate, would definitely recommend.

An Absolute Gem in Margate! We recently stayed at The Beetroot for one night and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The location is perfect – exceptionally well positioned, easy to find, and an ideal base for exploring Margate and the Old Town. The property itself is beautiful, with each room thoughtfully styled to have its own unique character. We also loved the quirky, creative touches throughout the outdoor spaces. Our room was incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly after a fantastic afternoon and evening exploring Margate’s many bars and restaurants – there’s so much to choose from. A particularly thoughtful touch was the selection of four different loose-leaf tea blends available in the room. The Chai blend was especially delicious and became my favourite. The attention to detail continued into the bathroom, with fluffy white towels, wonderful Haeckels shower gel and shampoo, and a lovely invigorating shower. What truly makes this place special, however, is the hospitality. Paul, the owner, is an absolute delight – warm, friendly, and genuinely lovely to chat with. He has created something really special here, and his welcoming energy added so much to our stay. A truly wonderful place to stay, full of thoughtful local touches and charm. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough. ❤️ 5/5 – we’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely LOVE the beetroot! Hands down the best place to stay in Margate. Paul is amazing. Brilliant communication, super chilled, always a pleasure to speak to. We will be back if you’ll have us again! ;)

Fantastic location. Really nicely decorated and has everything you needed. Comfortable bed, lush shower. Host was great, really accommodating, had thought of everything. So easy to get to bars,restaurants, shopping, train station etc, would highly recommend to anyone. We booked the smallest room,and it was perfectly fine as a place to sleep and shower. Excellent stay.

This is a gem of a place. So,cosy,quiet even though in the old town. So tastefully decorated inside and the patio areas. Lovely teas to sample in the room. Paul was helpful and charming when I finnaly found him! Fabulous stay

Every review was spot on. Paul, our host, welcomed us to his amazing boutique hotel. Overall this intriguing hotel offered a unique stay and a feast for the eyes! The heated floors and automatic sky lighting was simply amazing comfort additions. Every need from hair dryer, iron, microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, and refrigerator were excellent editions to the perfect spot. Upon entering you find yourself in a beautiful secret garden with a small coy fish pond. The paintings and flower allowed your eyes to wonder and dream. Our room offered a jutebox and original artwork to feed the artist in your soul. The space would allow you to entertain if you so desired. The beach was less than a block away and while the area is fairly quiet during the week on the weekend everything become lively but don't worry once you are in hotel garden all is quiet. We can't wait to return! This boutique hotel and the city of Margate is a true GEM!

The Beetroot is a fantastic boutique place to stay in Margate. Paul was a great host, and is developing this into a fantastic destination just a few minutes from the beach and right in the old town. Highly recommended

Lovely, quirky hotel. At the same time tasteful and nice. Great location in Old Town Margate, everything was just a few mins walk or less, shops, bars, beach, seafront. We stayed 3 nights and everything was perfect. Check in and communication from Paul the owner was very easy and efficient. Each room at the hotel is different, ours was split on 2 levels with the bed and hanging space upstairs. Downstairs was a well equipped kitchen and a nice cave-like bathroom with lovely powerful shower. The outside courtyard space was also pleasant, we had our morning cuppa out there each day along with the plants, butterflies, goldfish pond and trickling water feature. Perfect. We came for a concert at Dreamland, this was maybe 10min walk. Paul was always on hand to check everything was ok and a friendly chat without being interfering. 5* well recommended, will definitely book again whenever we're in the area.

Lovely cute guest house , Margate is not great, a lot was closed and it’s very old and tried looking . Not worth going
