This was my 2nd time staying at Hotel Calabona, it’s an ideal hotel in Alghero! The hotel is waterfront with a small private cove, has a large pool overlooking the sea! It’s a 15 minute walk to the town center or they have a free shuttle. I suggest booking a room with a water view, it’s worth it. The staff is amazing, friendly and extremely accommodating! I highly suggest renting a car for a day trip to Castlesardo, La Pelosa Beach (ranked a top beach in Europe), you need to make a reservation), and some of the local beaches. Maria Pia was my favorite (15-20 minute drive), you can find street parking at the back of the hotel near the promenade. My only suggestion to the hotel, i. the summer, keep the pool open a little later. Thank you Hotel Calabona! I’ll be back!

This is a holiday hotel, it was very busy, we could not find sunbeds by the pool but there were free ones on the beach Staff were good There was a couple around with a very troubled Daschund, it was barking and snapping at the waiters, which was not good, and we avoided it when they were walking around the hotel. I did wonder if this was the owners and their dog. Breakfast was great, the hotel is a long walk to town, and the shuttle bus does not operate in the afternoon The hotel felt very much like a corporate hotel, rather than a family one, which I prefer here in Sardinia, so that was disappointing However, it was a still a nice stay. Despite the more formal culture

Our bathroom was not very clean. Found other people hair. And stains, old lotion on the sink countertop. Sand in the floor. But otherwise was a great stay.

wonderful experience at the Hotel Calabona

Nothing special in this hotel. Very old property, overall. Basic breakfast buffet (they charge 5€ for an omelette). 2x1 in cocktails but they charge full price. 15€/day for parking.

Our room had a beautiful sea view with a deck. Parking was convenient, although 15 euros a night. This was the only hotel during our trip around the island that did not offer complimentary parking. However, we enjoyed the free shuttle service into the old town for dinners. Seemed like a great trade off for the parking cost. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and staff were extremely tentative. Very nice hotel!

O hotel é otimo, totalmente reformado, bom atendimento, otimo café da manhã, só o ar condicionado que nao resfriava.

The rooms were clean and we had a beautiful view from our balcony. Breakfast was plentiful!

Sehr freundliches Personal, vor allem im Gastronomie &Bar-Bereich. Leider war direkt neben dem Hotel ein Aussichtspunkt, wo sich anscheinend jede Nacht die Einheimischen treffen und der Lärm jener direkt in den Innenhof des Hotels schallte.

Rent, fint rum. Bekväma sängar.Fantastisk utsikt över solnedgången från vår stora balkong. Bra poolområde med gott om solsängar. Hotellet har även en liten privat strand, där det också finns solsängar och parasoller. Hotellet ligger någon km från centrum men har en gratis shuttle som fungerade väldigt bra och där man aldrig behövde vänta länge. Det enda minus var att det inte fanns några glas på rummet( inte ens för tandborstning) utan bara väldigt tunna engångs plastmuggar (inslagna i ytterligare plast). Dessa gick ofta sönder bara man råkade trycka lite på dem. Irriterande och kändes inte särskilt miljövänligt heller.

We had an incredible experience. Everyone was so helpful.

Location, room, and staff far exceeded our expectations. Will definitely stay here again.
