O Sítio Ilha Grande is an absolute gem of a place to stay while in Ilha Grande. The staff could not have been better and more accommodating, the common area is great, the food is great, and the property is absolutely stunning. The staff helped us book a boat day around the island that we’ll remember forever. I would recommend to anyone who is traveling to the island.

Oh my god, even with rainy weather, I and my girlfriend had such an unbelieveable stay in the piece of paradise! I'm Brazilian, but had never been to Ilha Grande. My girlfriend is Ukrainian/American and she just fell in love with the place. We live in SoCal. She's been telling me now that she'll move to Ilha Grande haha. The beach-front ranch is just magnificent. Staff is absolutely courteous; breakfast is delicious. The hotel's restaurant has a wonderful menu. Access to the hotel is made by the hotel's own boat, either from the mainland (charged extra) or from Abraão village (included), which is an attraction in itself, because the place is just paradisiac. The singing of crickets, frogs and even nocturnal boards at night is a sleeping experience in itself (bonus points if it's raining). I hight recommend this place!

Incredible hotel! Felt like a honeymoon destination. Beautiful rooms, private beach, hotel boat, delicious food. 5 star service. Perfect location for a couple or family. In my top 3 hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

El lugar es muy bonito, con unos jardines preciosos, muy tranquilo, y al lado de la playa. La habitación nos pareció mejorable, en relación al precio. Si bien era cómoda, no entraba nada de luz, y no había mucha ventilación. El desayuno muy bien. Lo que menos nos gustó, y el principal motivo por el que no repetiríamos fue la atención por parte de las gerentes, especialmente Aline; el trato no fue agradable y hubieron varios errores desde el primer día en que llegamos que tampoco nos ayudaron a solucionar (un día nos habían arreglado un regreso en bote hasta el hotel, y en el momento del regreso nadie sabía nada; lo arreglamos por nuestra cuenta y aún nos querían cobrar por un servicio no prestado). Además, queríamos alquilar una lancha durante un día para recorrer parte de la isla; finalmente lo gestionamos por nuestra cuenta porque el desinterés fue máximo. Aprovecho también para apuntar que los servicios que supuestamente ayudaban a gestionar ellas, siempre eran más caros que gestionando por libre. Pese a todo ello, tuvimos unos días maravillosos en la isla.

A beautiful place surrounded by nature with access to a quiet beach. We will definitely come back. Aline, Sol and Cami were very helpful during our whole stay, arranging for transport and tours around the island.

Let’s start off with the positives: * Great atmosphere and beautiful estate with well kept garden. It shows that the owners and staff care for their craft. * Extremely helpful staff that took really good care of us. Helped organizing dinners, transports and fixed any and all requests we had during our stay. * The owners were staying at the estate and were very nice and welcoming. * Access to private beach with water activities (SUP etc), filtered tap water and private sunchairs/umbrellas included in the booking price. * Free transfer to and from Abraāo Village upon arrival/checkout. Opportunities for Improvement: * The food ranged from excellent to below average. We recommend ceviche and chickpea paste. Chicken pie and breaded chicken were subpar, borderline uneatable. * The hotel states it has afternoon tee/coffee from 3 to 5 pm, but I’m not sure what that’s all about since coffee and tee is always available anyway, but nothing extra was served during that timeframe. I may very well have missed something here. * The room had a VERY noisy Air Conditioner that looks like it’s from 1980s/1990s. The noise levels make it impossible to sleep without earplugs (didn’t have any) and it’s impossible to sleep with AC off. This lead to me not being able to sleep properly for the entire stay. For a place that markets itself of honoring and encouraging peace and tranquillity, this is a huge letdown and will most definitely keep me from returning here for a second stay, unless it’s fixed

Such an amazing stay at a beautiful property. The staff were attentive and the amenities were great. Easy walk to town but they also have a boat available to shuttle you back and forth.

Ositio has a lovely location you can walk from Abraão which takes around 30 minutes or taxi boat around 10 The staff were always available to help & organise day trips

Great quiet location, easy access to local town and easy transportation to other parts of the island. Beach is picture perfect and the food spectacular!!! The managers and staff of the pousada are always willing to help and make the stay even more enjoyable.

O Sítio tem apenas um problema, que acaba atrapalhando a sua viagem à Ilha Grande: fato de você não querer sair de lá! A pousada é linda, a praia é paradisíaca, o atendimento de toda a equipe é excelente (Aldayr, Alan, todas as meninas do café da manhã e a gerência) e a culinária além de caprichada, é deliciosa, com destaque para a moqueca de peixe com banana preparada por Geisa e Star! O transfer de barco do check-in e do check-out já estão incluídos e são feitos pelo simpático Aldayr! A presteza e eficiência de Aline, Camila e Mari fizeram a diferença durante a estadia! Não consigo imaginar voltar à ilha e ficar em outro lugar!

A magical place. The staff and service is excellent. Aline and Mari were both particularly helpful. The food onsite was delicious. Tours and dining in town could be arranged through Aline and Mari. Arrival and departure coordination was also arranged by Aline. Private beach. Hiking trails. Beautiful gardens. Plenty of birds and wildlife. There's board games and books on site. Overall a quiet private getaway where I could write. Much appreciated the people, animals, nature and place! Fond memories.
