Lovely stay Nice friendly helpful staff

Room was very spacious. Beds made every day, cups changed and ample clean towels. Also very accommodating to our dog. Would have given a higher score if it were not for the lack of air-conditioning. A fan just doesn't cut it in hot weather. Also, breakfast was ok, but would have been nice to have a bit more choice; maybe some pastries and more fruit options. Otherwise a decent hotel, well located near attractions.

We had an overnight stay here as we were attending a concert at the Congress theatre. We were very pleased with our choice as it is just across the road from the theatre and the hotel itself was pleasant. It's only about a 5 or 10 minute walk to the town centre. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly and there was a nice breakfast, cooked to order. There's plenty of street parking and I would recommend buying a permit from the hotel (£2.50) which lasted from our check in until check out the next day. We parked just around the corner from the hotel. I'd stay here again.

Tv needed attention on first day but promptly dealt with. We were there in the heatwave and there was no air conditioning in the room. Tap in bathroom noisy. Shower gel container not working properly and hard to press. No telephone in room for emergencies. Cleanliness can be improved. Our bedroom was not cleaned on our last day. Breakfast choice poor

The room smelt of damp. The wall in the bathroom, was visibility damp. Breakfast was very poor quality. The lady serving started arguing, when I asked about the wrong flavour of tea being served, and she still got the breakfast order wrong, dispite, asking several times and writing it down. The place was clean, but very tired. I dont expect to be told breakfast was at eight o'clock, however on stating that this was too early, a later time was agreed . I would not return

Staff were friendly but not really that engaged The room we had needed to be changed as the heating was stuck on full blast but this was done with no issues at all Nice big room, nothing else really stood out Didn't have breakfast

A comfortable one nights stay, in a clean double room. Bed very comfortable. Staff friendly, and helpful. Would definitely stay again! :-)

Good value for money, family run business. Little basic on the breakfast for the cost but otherwise friendly staff and clean venue. Gets my recommendation and i am looking forward to my 3rd stay

I would recommend this hotel if you dont mind stairs and dont need any help from the staff. There is a lift but there are still so many stairs and long corridors. They were prewarned I was disabled getting to and from our 2 double bedded family room (which was nice, clean, quiet) with 2 young children, pushchair and luggage was awful. Not once would they offer to help, even watched us struggling! Steps up to the front reception. Steps down to the lift. Many sets of stairs up to the room ( 1 had stair lift which we had to lift the pushchair over) long corriders. Exhausted we were happy to see the clean family room with 2 comfy double beds and a large bathroom. Very welcomed. Tv in room but reception awful, couldnt watch it. We booked this hotel for the Air show and the parking which was at the back of the hotel, garages £15 a night. I eventually was allowed to park by the garages which was easier for my disabilities. Make crystal clear in a email your requirements. I paid a whopping £155 for 1 night (Airshow price) so i did expect a little welcome and help. Expedia didnt help with thier invoice system The hotel was very convenient as ran parallel to the centre of the flight display 5min walk which was fantastic. Lots of restaurants, cafes etc etc close by.

Friendly, helpful staff, nicely decorated, clean and roomy bedroom, large comfortable bed and nice pillows, tea and coffee facilities. Easy access to Eastbourne seafront.
