Breakfast hours were quite late. 8:30 on weekends to start and 7:30 weekdays. Otherwise excellent.

The hotel was great. Breakfast started too late so we were unable to take advantage of it 7:30 on week days 8:30 on weekends The only problem was that they sent us the wrong room number and code for one of our rooms. When we got back that evening we couldn’t get into the room. We were moved to another room after a long conversation via phone with the staff Love the keyless entry but would have been helpful to have someone on site.

The location is very good - close to the city center, but far enough to be very quiet and peaceful. The views are amazing. The hotel room was large - much larger than rooms in any comparably priced hotel in Iceland and in much of Europe. The facility and the rooms are updated, clean, and functional. It was nice having a large common breakfast room on the top floor, with a kitchen and small kitchen appliances. The check-in process was easy. There is plenty of on-site parking. I rated staff as "OK" only because there was no choice to enter N/A - we just did not have a chance to interact with any staff member since there is no reception desk on-site and the check-in- check-out processes are fully automated.

I like that there’s available fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster available on site where the kitchen is. And that there’s available dish soap as well.

Overall highly recommended. The room is on the larger side compared to the other hotels and guesthouses we stayed at. You can pull the car directly in front of the room which is convenient.

The only difficulty we had with our stay was checking in. There is no reception at this hotel. It is “self check in.”We received an email where the link to the door codes wouldn’t open. We tried sending an email to the hotel - no reply. We tried telephoning - no answer. Finally, we contacted a guest who was sitting outdoors and she said there was cleaning staff about. A staff member assisted us in getting to our room and provided us with our door code. It’s a lovely hotel. Once settled, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel, location is about 3-4 minutes outside Akureyri but you get a great view of the city and the mountain that inspired the logo, from the parking lot at least. The rooms are clean with about average space and comfortable beds and good blackout curtains. Breakfast is NOT included with the room rate and must be purchased beforehand, but the dining room has a microwave, fridge, and sink open to guests. Self check-in, and we didn't see any staff on site on our one-night stay but you are given contact info. Great great amenity is the warming closet, included in the room rate and lets you dry your clothes overnight! Awesome for us since it rained the entire week we were in the country. Overall nice place and worth the price.

This place was super easy and convenient. The room was great. It is set up for viewing the Northern Lights with nice big windows. We were there during the summer, so that didn’t matter, but I’m considering returning during the winter.

Very modern, very clean, and just everything you need, but even better are the views all around. A perfect time in Akureyri.

This was one of our favorite hotels from our trip this year! We loved the self-check-in process—the access code was sent in advance, and everything worked seamlessly. Parking was conveniently located right next to the patio, making it easy to bring our luggage directly to the room. The room itself was modern, clean, and very well maintained. We also used the shared kitchen amenities, including the kettle and microwave, which were spotless and well cared for. The room was equipped with a coffee maker and a refrigerator, which was a nice bonus. Overall, everything was comfortable, convenient, and thoughtfully set up. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

This is our 3rd time to stay here over a two year period totaling 10 days. We love the quiet area location. When there was. Problem once, it was immediately taken care of. Highly recommended.

Loved this hotel! The hotel sent over the check in instructions days ahead of time, really easy to follow and to get into our room. Big beautiful room with mini fridge and coffee in the room . Was really easy to park right by our patio to load and unload the car.
