Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and a superb chef. A good location for Goodwood and the Weald & Downland museum. Excellent car park.

We booked the Selsey Arms for the convenient and quiet location, near to Chichester. It did not disappoint. A nice welcome and after booking in we were shown to our room, and asked if we preferred a ground floor room (which we didn't, but it was thoughtful to ask the question). The room was spacious with a big fan, comfortable bed and good bathroom with bath and shower over. The pub courtyard is outside - obviously this is a pub/inn and to be expected - and on a busy summer's evening you may hear some background noise from people enjoying food/drink out there. We were provided with bottles of water, kettle etc. And ... breakfast included, which is unusual these days. Normally I'd skip breakfast, if it was a buffet style or greasy fried "full English". But the choices were really good - I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and lovely homemade chunky toast, my husband had pancakes - again homemade. Really good and we were served by a lovely young woman, cheerful and again, thoughtful. If we find ourselves back in the area I'd go again!

Lovely place to stay, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the ones in the courtyard are quite modern. The site is accessible and there is plenty of parking available. All the staff were lovely, but the young man that did our meet and greet was so helpful. Tea, coffee and water are provided in the rooms, and oat milk cartons, which pleased my wife she normally has to request this. The bar has a good selection of beers, including real ales and is used by a lot of the locals, so always a good sign. Without doubt the food at the site is some of the best pub food I have ever eaten, if its available I would highly recommend the Comfit Belly of Pork. The next time we stay we will have to ensure the Pizza Oven in the garden area is available, as I would love to try their Pizzas!

Second time staying, and I imagine we'll be back again. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The surroundings are beautiful. And the food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner twice and very impressed.

Perfectly adequate for a one night stay

Just 5 rooms but well laid out and spacious. Staff friendly and the pub/restaurant very nice.

Easy to find with plenty of parking, arrived early but wasn’t a problem shown to our room by the landlady which was larger than expected with plenty of room it was of a high standard very fresh looking and clean! Extra pillows found , and had a selection of tea and coffees and had delish quality biscuits! Bathroom was a good size with fresh smelling towels ready and good quality shower gel and conditioner Evening meal and breakfast were of a high standard A very pleasant relaxed atmosphere where nothing was too much trouble x Would book again if ever we return to visit friends in Midhurst Thank you x If I didn’t have cats I would quite easily of adopted Ruby the dog who definitely is the boss there !

staff are very helpful. The room was very good quality and a very comfortable bed, we went to chichester theatre on saturday night had food at the selsey arms before, the food is delicious would happily stay again and recommend The Selsey arms to anyone

A very clean and comfortable hotel with a good menu and huge breakfasts. Good location and straightforward drive into Chichester for a visit to the theatre.

We chose the Selsey Inn for it’s location adjacent the Centurion Way and because breakfast was included. The staff were very welcoming and the room was comfy. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The pub itself was quiet, we were there Thursday and Friday. The only downside was the floor of the room above Room 3 was very creaky.

Pleasant two night stay at a comfortable and friendly pub. We only ate breakfast at the property but this was excellent and with friendly service. Very convenient for Chichester - 10 minute drive to the large car park by the Festival Theatre. Traffic noise from the road was not noticeable as the rooms are set back from the main road behind the main building. The pub is opposite the Centurion Way - a footpath along the old railway line between Chichester and Midhurst.
