Great location.

Most amazing beautiful hotel. Well kept, clean & in the old part of town. The staff are super friendly, especially the night porter he was so lovely.

Such a great location. Awesome breakfast and staff. Rooms nice, quiet and dark. Nice firm bed and pillows. Lots of restaurants around.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Alfama. Has a gorgeous view of the city and only a 15 minute walk to the center of Lisbon.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, making us feel at home. The location was great, just a short walk down to central Lisbon and a stones throw from the old town.

The location was wonderful. We loved the hotel- very elegant and intimate. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was included in our stay and was exceptional.

Great location, friendly, near the castle and cathedral which we liked, although as Lisbon is such a large city, location may not suit all. Easy access to centre though, 10-15 min walk and good tram and Uber service.

The photos of the types of bedroom on both the hotel's website and Expedia's are misleading, and we were initially put in a room that the hotel claimed was a Superior River View Plus, but, despite a view of the river, felt small and did not have the larger balcony as shown in the photo. It was in the roof, and felt much more like a Mansarda room (the rooms in the "attic"). However, following my complaint about this, we were put in what we were told was another Superior River View Plus but this was on the floor below and felt more spacious and was the same as the photo. After this initial glitch, our only other criticism of this otherwise beautiful hotel was the fact that there were no tea/coffee-making facilities in the bedrooms. There is a coffee machine on the ground floor that guests can use free of charge, but if you're looking forward to a coffee in bed as you wake up, it's not very practical. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again.

Very well located nice boutique hotel. Room on garden side very silent. Area is very busy with plenty of restaurants and nice teracess with spectacular view to river!

Centrally located hotel in the Alfama district. Dedicated staff added friendly faces to the stay. Lovely rooms and great views. Staff was accommodating to our travel plans. Highly recommend adding the breakfast to the hotel.

The property was very central to everything. The courtyard in the front with the Famous Panda wall Artwork was fabulous to enjoy breakfast or drinks. The ocean view from the patio was beautiful, if your room faced the front this was your view. We had the room in the back with a larger sitting area on the first floor. Quieter on the back side. There was complimentary coffee and water 24hrs a day. We would definitely return and stay at Pousada Alfama again.

This is the first negative review I have ever written. The hotel is in a great location in Alfama but it is incredibly noisy. There was loud music playing throughout the night making it very difficult to sleep. The rooms are very tiny. The staff were unfriendly and, at times, downright rude. There is a nice breakfast included but they refused to let us eat it one morning because it was not quite 7:30. We had a booked tour and had to leave at 7:30 but the breakfast was out and available. They told us we were not allowed to have it. They were not nice about it. I would not recommend this hotel. There are many other options available.

Helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable room. The area is very congested, although it is very convenient to many Lisbon sights and food restaurants. It is very quiet inside the hotel.
