Very near the railway station and nice staff. The staff let us settle down those luggage in the room before they clean the room. These are the only GOOD things I can mention. The others are average or slightly below average. I chose it because I only stayed one night before I left by railway and it is really convenient to walk the station, so I sacrifice somethings.

Great location near train station. Effective air conditioning (which was much appreciated!) Snacks, coffee & water waiting in room, which was nice. On-line check-in system and access codes for doors were awkward to use.

I was a bit disappointed with Beretta. After being recommended by the a prime travel guide I expected more. Beginning with the positive: it has a premier location just a block down the street from varenna train station. The rooms are tidy and clean and the cleaning staff was very polite ( was the only staff I met). We got a corner unit with a small lake view. There’s a very nice cafe. And patticerie in the first floor where you can get breakfast (premises don’t offer breakfast). Now the rest: there’s no front desk and access is managed by electronic codes. So in reality more than a hotel it is a nice hostel. In consequence, there aren’t many of the amenities to expect from a hotel such as immediate response to issues, local tourism guidance. holding bags etc. Noise insulation from the street is poor so cars passing by would wake you up all night. The door to the balcony was partially malfunctioning. Probabaly the worse part and the one easier to fix is that there’s very poor covering to the large windows (including the bathroom) when needed. So sleeping with the street lights was difficult and worse, there was no privacy to undress your self in the room or even use the bathroom toilet. Felt like I was naked in middle of the street Don’t take me wrong, it’s a nice clean place and might return if some of these issues were addressed, but at over $360 USD a night I expected more and thought it was a bit overpriced for what you get.

This property is 5mins walk from the Varenna train station and a few minutes walk to the ferry. Our room had a nice view of the lake and the mountains.

Very convenient location. In between train station and ferry.

Room was excellent and the air conditioning was amazing. The room was amazingly dark and quiet at night and great view out the window during the day. The bag storage was a minor bit troublesome as it seemed like the restaurant staff didn’t enjoy sorting this out for us, but not the most annoying. The location was very convenient to the train station and a small walk (10 mins) to the main town.

I have to first start saying that Matteo, was very resourceful and helpful. When I we arrived one of our rooms was super stinky, 😭 I mean smell awful. Once I communicated with the staff (by Whatsapp) he was able to change our room. The hotel is very convenient located to the train station and the ferry. Other than that.. great stay

A perfect location for our stay in Varenna. Really close to the lakefront and ferry port, which was ideal - and only a 5min walk down from the train station. The room was simple, but clean and enough space for 2 of us. We luckily had a lovely view out over the lake. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and we made use of the fridge and the coffee maker. We did get quite hot in the room (admittedly - the weather was super hot, so made it worse!) - the aircon seemed to struggle a bit, but the management supplied a fan for the room to help. Easy check-in - with the details having been sent before we arrived, and great communication for the Hotel management.

Spacious room in a perfect location! Short flat walk from the ferry dock, and 5-10 min slightly downhill walk from the train station. Great air conditioning, even kept up during the heat wave while we were there. Didn’t purchase the add-on for breakfast, but did stop by the cafe located in the ground floor of the building for coffee every day. Nicely appointed room with lots of space.

Very nice stay in Varenna! Great staff! We loved the location . Easy to get to the restaurants, lake , ferry and train. Nice little restaurant on first floor with a wonderful breakfast selection. Varenna was beautiful !

Great staff in a great location, readily available over WhatsApp. Will say, the AC didn’t work as well as we would’ve liked and the temperature was set very low and it was still hot. Shower was very small but functional. Was great for our needs
