Good place to stay in Kandy but slightly on the expensive side for what it is. One thing to be aware of is that there is a construction site next to the hotel as of April 2025. Of course this isn’t something the hotel can control, but the noise in the daytime is a disturbance. The rooms are great and clean, but sound insulation is not great from the hallway, lobby, etc. Breakfast selection is also great. The pool has a great view but it’s location right next to the restaurant makes it slightly awkward to use.

Lovely hotel set in the hills above the lake, with great views of the surrounding peaks, very comfortable room with a great balcony. There's a rooftop bar and restaurant which was lovely, plus a ground floor bar, restaurant and infinity pool. Breakfast was delicious with great choices and good coffee! The staff were attentive and pleasant.

Extraordinary

Very basic accommodation. Paid to much and not worth it. No charm or decor. Staff are very friendly

Overall the stay was pretty good and the staff were good and helpful. The only concern is it would be great to have a separate glass cover in the shower area. Otherwise when taking a shower water splash all over the washroom.

The suite was fantastic will an incredible view. Comfortable bed, mattress not too soft. Excellent complimentary tea selection! Room service was delicious as was breakfast. The lady on the front desk was very sweet & helpful.

The hotel exceeded our expectations particularly in terms of cuisine. The breakfast, the al a carte menu and the dinner buffets were excellent. The staff were friendly and very attentive and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The views from the rooms & the restaurant were majestic. The roof top bar was a plus but the rainy weather interrupted our use of the facility. All in all a perfect two day stay and I highly recommend this boutique hotel for visitors to Kandy.

The Grand Serendib was a wonderful stay. The staff were extremely helpful and even helped with things like printing train tickets, they also made sure our special occasion felt even more special. Thank you very much to the entire team.

Great views overlooking Kandy!

Great location

The hotel and staff were so lovely. The location was great just 10 minutes from the railway station. The food was so delicious and the ambience in the roof top bar was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in kandy.

The hotel is great. Great service and very friendly staff. They were very helpful when we had questions or requests. The room was clean and it had everything we needed.
